Breakthrough: Moving from Dangerous valleys to It now.

Listen to this article

Nowadays most of us have experienced or are used to having things working for us all i.e. all-round breakthrough what I call a mountain top experience. Then all of a sudden you have a feel like all was lost or even nothing will succeed no breakthrough. You have setbacks in your finances, challenge in your relationship this called a valley experience.

What valley are you in?

Breakthrough

In the valley, it’s easy to get discouraged and think it’s never going to improve. You may be in a valley of trouble, loneliness, of death, of no breakthrough . You don’t see any way out. It looks permanent. God is saying, I’m about to transform that valley into a gateway of hope, a gateway of increase, a gateway of favor. The Valley is leading you to new levels, to better relationships, to greater influence. The medical report may not look good. You’re in a valley of sickness. God is about to transform it into a gateway of healing, a gateway of wholeness. Don’t let the valley fool you. God of breakthrough has the final say.

God is going to open new doors, opportunities, breakthrough locate you. Perhaps you’ve struggled with that problem for a long time with no breakthrough. You’ve accepted that you’ll always be in that valley. Your relatives lived in the valley. They all struggled. God is doing a new thing. God has a breakthrough coming your way. This valley is not your destiny. instead of complaining about the Valley Remember this valley is only temporary.

You can’t reach your destiny without going through valleys. When you’re on top of a mountain, the only way to go higher is to come down that mountain, go through the valley. Then you can go up a higher mountain. God allows valleys not to hold us back, but because he’s taken us higher without the valleys, we would get stuck.

The Valley is not there to stop you but to promote you(bring breakthrough) . And what you’re up against may be bigger. You feel outnumbered. You don’t have the resources on your own. You can’t get out. The good news is you’re not on your own. The most high God is right there with you. He knows how to turn that battlefield into a blessing field, that valley of trouble into a gateway of breakthrough.

I Kings 20:28, The prophet visited the king of Israel and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Because the Syrians said, “The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’

Israel was very weak at this time; both spiritually, morally, financially, militarily. King of Syria Ben Hadad saw this weakness and he sent this message to the king of Israel(Ahab). He said, listen, “Your silver and your gold are mine. Your wives and your children, they are mine.” What are these things – gold, and silver, and finances, and family? So Ahab just said, “It is as you say. I will forfeit these things to you. I will hand my seed over to you.”

Remember that Ben Hadad and the devil – they are never satisfied. According to Proverbs 27:20” Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied.” The devil will never steal from you so much that he finally says, “Well, that’s enough.” He will never make you so miserable that finally he has a little bit of pity and says, “Well, maybe I ought to lighten up on them.”

So, when Ben Hadad saw how easily Ahab accepted, he wanted more. He said, “No, I will increase my demand.” He sends a second message and said, “This is what I’m going to do. I will send my soldiers throughout your kingdom. They will enter your houses and whatever is pleasant in their eyes, they will reach forth their hand and take it.”

So do something today since the devil wants to send an army of demons  to your address, to come and take everything that is pleasant and desirable in your eyes away from you and take it back as a trophy of hell, how does that make you feel? You tell devil That is not going to happen.”

After receiving second message, they replied and said, “Look, we may be weak and we may be outnumbered; we might not have much of a military anymore; but you know what? That’s just too much, and we cannot submit to that. So lets meet you on the battlefield.” And God delivered them and gave them victory .

After 6 months Ben Hadad came back same to the devil when you beat him he may stay away for a while, but be sure that he’s going to come back. Ben Hadad had a new strategy lets fight them at the valley and not mountains. The devil keeps on changing his strategies. If you defeat him due to you prayed well, he will wait until you stop praying. ” God was with them in the valley and He gave them great breakthrough they killed over a 100000 of the Syrian soldiers.

David faced Goliath in the Valley of Rephaim“Giants.” Here problem seems so big – just like a giant – and you feel so small – like a grasshopper(Numbers 13:33 12 spies experienced this also). Our God knows what you are up against and He gives you victory. Everyone is scared just like all the Israelites were in the same valley. They heard the same threats.

But David had a different attitude. He talked back to the enemy. you will hear the enemy’s threats. He’ll try to intimidate you. You’ll never get out of this problem is too big. You’ll never get well. You saw the report. Don’t do like the Israelites and believe those lies live in fear. Worried. Do like David and talk back to the enemy. What you’re saying in the valley is going to have a great impact on whether or not you come out.

When you say, I’ll never get out of this problem is going to keep you there. Instead of agreeing with the enemy, start declaring what God says about you. When the enemy shouts, you’ll never get well. Do like David.

Joshua 24:15 As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. My children are mighty in the land. What God has purpose for their life. This is where the Israelites missed it. They were talking about how big Goliath was. David was talking about how big our God is. They were magnifying the problem. David came along and started magnifying our God.

There’s nothing more powerful against these negative threats than God’s word coming out of your mouth. Sometimes people will try to keep you in the valley. People will tell you what you can’t do, what you don’t have, how you should just learn to live in the valley. Don’t expect everyone to cheer you on. But just. Because they don’t see it in you, does it mean you don’t have it? God has put greatness in you, things that other people have never imagined, potential that’s going to catapult you to a new level.

Now, don’t let someone talk you out of what God put in. You don’t let their lack of support cause you to stay in the valley. You don’t need them. You and God are a majority. David didn’t have any armor, didn’t have a sword, a shield. All he had was a slingshot. He reached down and picked up five smooth stones from the stream God was showing us. There is provision in the valley. David didn’t bring the stones into the valley. He didn’t have someone helping him, giving him the stones. What he needed was within reach. What you need to get out of that valley is within your reach. You don’t have to wait on some person.

Sometimes all you need is your praise. Praise is a weapon. Praise, breaks, chains, praise confuses the enemy. Praise makes you powerful. Just as Paul and Silas as they sang praises at midnight, prison doors flung open All David head was five small stones that didn’t seem like much, but a stone with God’s favor is more powerful and can bring great breakthrough. Your praise may not seem like much, but when you praise angels, go to work. When you praise the creator of the universe begins to change things in your favor.

And most of the battles we fight are not physical, they’re spiritual. Praise is a powerful weapon. When you praise in the Valley, it’s even more effective because the enemy expects you in the valley to be negative, bitter complaining.

David wrote in Psalm 23, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. He didn’t say the last day in the valley, though I live in the valley now. The Valley is not your home. The valley is temporary. You just passing through the valley. Now, don’t let the valley become permanent in your thinking. Don’t go around talking about my sickness, David said. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Then the next verse he said, God, anoint my head with oil and my cup runneth over. God was showing us you have to go through some valleys before you come to the anointing where your cup runs over.

You may be dealing with the joblessness now, but on the other side of that valley is your cup runneth over with a good job.

What must be done to achieve breakthrough?

But we have to pass the test to get great breakthrough. How we go through the valley makes a difference whether we will get breakthrough or not. He can cause the property to find you. He can have the right people knock on your door. He can heal you without the treatment. The valley doesn’t stop our God. He’s not limited by what you don’t have. He’s not intimidated by what you’re up against.

He knows how to turn your situation around. You may be in a valley that’s dry. It looks permanent. Get ready for a breakthrough.

God can control how the breakthrough comes and when then it comes. His favor can open a door that couldn’t open. He can make things happen. They can’t be explained. That valley of trouble is about to be transformed into a breakthrough of hope, breakthrough of healing and breakthrough of promotion. It may be uncomfortable now, but the valley is necessary. God is using it to take you to a new level(new breakthrough). Now do your part, praise him in the valley, keep a good attitude in the valley. Be good to others in the valley. Get ready. You’re about to go from the valley to breakthrough in Jesus name.
