God Gives Second Chances To His Faithful People Now

Listen to this article

What Are Second Chances?

Brethren, Today is a new chance to start over again using God’s second chances. Believe me, it’s never too late to start over, or try again or try to do something new. If you didn’t do well yesterday, just move on! Get ready to hit that ‘reset’ button and, with the lessons from your previous experiences, begin to take action that will bring successful results, in the second chance

Examples Of GOD’S Second Chances In The Bible

The Bible is full of examples of people who were given second, third, and even fourth chances, including: Peter, the one who denied Jesus despite all Jesus did for him during those 3 years they were together (Matthew 26:69-75, Mark 14:66-72, Luke 22:55-62) , Jonah, the one who disobeyed God, and fled away (Jonah 1:1-17) Rahab, the one who was a prostitute in Jericho (Joshua 2) Samson, the one who disobeyed his parents and God and also married a Philistine (Judges 14:3) David, the one who committed adultery and had a man murdered (2 Samuel 11:14-17). Moses, the one who murdered a man (Exodus 2:11-15).

They are all evidence of God’s grace. When it comes to God, we can’t run out of second chances but we can only run out of time. After all, we all deserve second chances, but not for the same mistake. So be ready for God to offer you a second chance in life.

God offered second chances to other people just like you and me in the bible: Zacchaeus – Luke 19:1-10; Matthew 26:31-35, 69-75; John 21; The Thief on the Cross – Luke 23:39-43; You and Me – Ephesians 2:1-10. This shows that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. But having a second chance makes you want to work even harder, as you can see with these Bible characters.

God wants to give second chances to his people because He is in the business of doing so. In fact, Jesus indicates that pardoning others’ sins is similar to pardoning our own: “But if you do not forgive others’ sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” (Matthew 6:15). Similar advice is given in Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.”

As God’s people, we are to offer second chances to others because we have each been given the ultimate second chance in Christ. Proverbs even speaks of the virtue of unlocking second chances, saying, “It is to one’s glory to overlook an offense” (Proverbs 19:11). Giving someone a second chance does not erase their crime or invalidate the pain of their victims. Remember, by walking alongside those who need a second chance, we can help bring God’s healing into their lives and our communities.

Brethren, when you are traveling in a train and it goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off instead, you sit still and trust the engineer. So, trust God today, no matter how dark your situation is because God says, “You are coming out!”. After all When we don’t do well at something or when things change (especially unexpected or unwanted change), it knocks us for a loop, and we rarely see the opportunities within those events. But opportunity abounds, and within those opportunities are our second chances. The question is, what do we learn from them?

God always offers us a second chance and that chance is called tomorrow. So don’t give up against adverse circumstances; instead, keep fighting. Let tomorrow be your second chance to prove that you are better than today and yesterday. Remember: It’s what you do with those second chances that counts.

In conclusion, remember that If at first, you don’t succeed, try, and try again. Learn to accept the improvement that is the result of second chances. Second chances are opportunities for a fresh start and they do come your way. Like trains, they arrive and depart regularly. Recognizing the ones that matter is the trick.
