Genuine Godly Altars: How To Build Them Now

Listen to this article

Why We Built Our MTM Church Altar The Way It Is?

At around 3:40 am on 03/08/2021, after I had finished fasting for 120 days, God showed me the model of this altar and how to build it. God reminded me to build, which of the many choices to build and that was an earth altar (type: Exodus 20:18–26). When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.  Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

24 “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. 25 If you make it of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it. 26 And do not go up to it on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.’

How To Access Our MTM Church Altar

With three steps (How to access) leading to the altar according to Ezekiel 43:17 (The upper ledge also is square, fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits wide. All around the altar is a gutter of one cubit with a rim of half a cubit. The steps of the it faces east.”). There are many other types of altars, but he chose this one for us.

Why Do We Have 3 Steps Leading To Our MTM Church Altar?

Because there are rules to be followed for it to be acceptable (Ezekiel 43:18), otherwise it’s just a platform.

According to Mathew 3:16-17, We are to worship ONLY God the Father that is the Foundation of our ministry this is the 1st step of the it.

The 2nd step is based on what we Teach and that is the Teachings of Jesus Christ ONLY

The 3rd step is based on how we approach God through this Altar we need Christ as the ONLY acceptable sacrifice (we need to bring our best not forced sacrifice to accompany the worship of the Father). So, to do this correctly we need the help of the Holy Spirit who is there to remind us how and why of the process of our visit to the altar.

We must respect and honor God otherwise defiled altars can cause calamity to those who have defiled it(Nadab and Abihu strange fire Leviticus 10:1). That is why the people who had no business with the altar kept a distance from it. It’s not a platform or a stage where you just go there with your sins.

Remember even the priest prepared for the altar visit and didn’t introduce sin to the altar otherwise death was their portion. Aaron’s children died due to introducing a strange fire (Leviticus 10:1).

Remember Uzziah how he died due to attending to the altar without being a priest (2 Chronicles 26:18). Know your place and stay there. Let’s restore the dignity that comes with serving and worshipping God through it.

According to 1 Kings 13:3-5 It doesn’t matter who you are you can’t defile an altar of the true God and God won’t destroy it and punish you. It is supposed to be a platform to meet God and interact so why be destroyed instead (Ecclesiastes 5:1).
