Near Breakthrough War: How to fight yours Now

Listen to this article

Luke 5:5, “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night and have taken nothing; nevertheless, at thy word, I will let down the net.”

For some people to achieve a little breakthrough here and there, they have to wage war against many forces. Hence, they end up facing many stumbling blocks, strange problems, and even real enemies suddenly appearing from nowhere with the main aim of waging war with them so as to stop them at the edge of breakthrough. Always remember that once blessings are coming your way, you might start to have strange dreams, and as a result, the blessings become failures or losses.

Due to this war at the edge of breakthrough most people try to close deals, sign contracts or even make sales that are supposed to increase their financial capacity or move them to the next level of their lives, but something mysteriously happens,

Everybody has got an inheritance from God but how come not everyone gets that inheritance at all or in time. Why do so many people get stuck at the edge of their success?

Always remember before you reach your inheritance you are going to face stiff challenges and even fight a war here and another there. As a result, most of us tend to back down due to fear of fighting this war or wars.

For instance, it’s easy to get pregnant but when you are nearing giving birth, so many complications arise, meaning that you are at war against the spirit of near breakthrough. But remember that when God promises you something it’s your duty to fight the war related to getting that thing, God will only get involved with your war when you start fighting the war.

When God puts a dream in your heart you shouldn’t sit there doing nothing instead you should start working towards that dream. We see that this is what even the evil people do according to Acts 23:12-14, which says that “The next morning some Jews met together and made a plan. They took a vow that they would not eat or drink anything until they had killed Paul. There were more than forty who planned this together.”

If the evil people are willing to do anything by any means necessary, I mean even sacrificing everything and anything to stop you or destroy you so that you don’t succeed, so what are we as Christians supposed to do. Are we not supposed to pray, fast and even give so as to achieve our goals.

We see this in the book of Joshua 1:11, God said “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.’”

Here God told Israel to prepare themselves for three days at the shore of the Jordan River which was rushing and swollen with the spring rains. (In Hebrew, the name Jordan means “to flow down” or “descend.”  and it refers to freedom, so “crossing Jordan” symbolized crossing into a better place) They were faced with the impossibility of crossing this river among other challenges.

We see that according to Deuteronomy 9:1-3, God said, “Listen, O Israel! Today you are about to cross the Jordan River to take over the land belonging to nations much greater and more powerful than you. They live in cities with walls that reach to the sky!  The people are strong and tall—descendants of the famous Anakite giants. You’ve heard the saying, ‘Who can stand up to the Anakites?’ But recognize today that the LORD your God is the one who will cross over ahead of you like a devouring fire to destroy them. He will subdue them so that you will quickly conquer them and drive them out, just as the LORD has promised.

Here we see that God was preparing them as well as reminding them that the land beyond river Jordan was inhabited by giants greater and stronger than them. Despite all this and much more according to Numbers 14:9 Joshua reminded the Israelites: “Do not rebel against the LORD, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They are only helpless prey to us! They have no protection, but the LORD is with us! Don’t be afraid of them!”

I am here to remind you despite what you have gone through or are going through, it could be that you are advanced in age, or even you have missed so many opportunities, please remember that is not a reason for you to give up and abandon God.

Biblical Cases Of People Who Had To Fight Similar Wars

According to Joshua 14:6-14, Caleb reminded Joshua how Moses at Kadesh Barnea when he was 40 years of age he send them to spy and because of his good report Moses gave him Hebron for an inheritance but up to now he was 85 years of age but still he had not inherited it so he reminded Joshua but Joshua said to him that he shouldn’t blame him instead he should blame himself because he had not gone to fight and inherit his possession.

So, we should stop blaming others for our own failures and start taking responsibility on our own. we must start to take charge of our own breakthrough; we shouldn’t just sit there and do nothing just like Caleb seat waiting for some to come and help him possess Hebron for him.

You still have the same strength as you had before, so you should go after whatever eluded you due to one thing or the other or one war or the other and get it as God ordained it for you. Remember that until you start moving God will not move. Go to the right person to remind you of that inheritance.

We see that in the book of Judges 1:20, “As Moses had promised, Hebron was given to Caleb, who drove from it the three sons of Anak”

It’s never too late for you to start anything God promised you and succeed so what are you waiting for.

Remember that according to Genesis 50:24-25, after Joseph prophesied that the Israelites will leave Egypt and go to the promised land do you think that the Egyptians were very happy with this prophecy? Don’t forget that they knew this will come to pass so they must have fought against it with everything they got, and this is the same case when a prophecy goes out it might not be received well by everyone. So, pray harder because the devil will try to stop you at all costs.

According to Acts 19:15, One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” even evil spirits know who you are and what you are going to become so they are going to fight you.

Then we see that In Joshua 3:13, the priests were told that “as soon as their feet touch the water, the flow of water will be cut off from upstream, and the river will stand up like a wall.” Yes, that might sounds good and easy…but that first step still require some faith. Therefore Have Faith!
