Why do True Christians Face Persecutions?
The bible did not promise you that you will not be persecuted or even killed, as long as the devil and his agents are still free they will fight you with everything they’ve got, be it persecutions, be it fires and lions like in the case of Daniel, red seas to cross like in the case of Moses, they will even bring in giants in the mix of bears and lions to kill you like in the case of David. But one thing is for sure, and that is God will not forsake us nor abandon us (1 Chronicles 28:20), instead, he will make a way in the midst of these persecutions, so that he can deliver us.
When you think God has forgotten you remember that every temptation comes loaded with a blessing and in the end a reward from God, but first you must persevere (Mathew 5: 11-12).
Look at the case of Joseph after all the persecutions he became the prime minister, another case in point is Job who was extremely persecuted and lost a great deal for the sake of God and God gave him back twice what he had lost due to persecutions by the devil.
According to James 1:13, the Bible says when you are tempted or persecuted don’t say it’s God because God can’t tempt you. After all, Jesus was also tempted, and we can’t say that he tempted himself in any way. As a Christian are you ready to overcome these persecutions (Luke 21:36)?
Let’s start by:
Praise and worship
Start by praising and worshipping for about 10 minutes.
Thanksgiving:
O Lord my Father, thank you for bringing me this far and for all Your benefits towards me. I thank you for the precious gift of Salvation. I thank you for always been there whenever I call on you, and for your protection, provision, and strength upon my life
Repent and confess your sins
Confess your sins one by one (any known and unknown sin e.g., sex outside marriage/fornication, abortion, or other forms of bloodshed, worship of false gods, family altars) Mention them by name, especially sexual sins. And ask GOD for forgiveness and mercy. For those sins one by one. Believe that the LORD has forgiven you as He has promised in His Word. Please note that the Holy Spirit will remind you of unrepented sins. You need to repent of them all if you want to see results in this program.
Plead the Blood of Jesus (before you start praying these prayers).
Then start by confessing out loud this Scripture To help You overcome your Persecutions.
Matthew 5:11-12
“Yet He did not let anyone oppress them, He warned kings on their behalf “Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets” And the Lord multiplied the people of Israel until they became too mighty for their enemies.
You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it.
Psalm 34:19
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
Psalm 105:14, 15, 24
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. and he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
Now start praying:
1. O Lord, I thank You for you always answer my prayers, because it is your will for me to be successful and prosper, in Jesus name.
2. My Father! My Father! Let every strongman in my foundation firing arrows to hinder and delay my progress to go back to your sender, in Jesus name.
3. Let the fire of the Holy Ghost fall upon me and accelerate my progress despite the persecutions in my life, in Jesus name.
4. O Lord, plug me into the socket of your power and turn my whole life into the untouchable fire, in Jesus name.
5. By the power of the Holy Ghost, let every congregation of opposition and persecution, that has vowed that I will not possess my position and possession, be roasted by fire, in Jesus name.
6. Satanic accusations and persecutions will not succeed over my progress, O Lord, enlarge my coast and let my enemies be the witnesses of your blessings in my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. O Lord of Glory, Let every obstacle and persecution on my way become my stepping stone to my next level, and let my next level progress kill my enemies, in Jesus name.
8. By the power of the Holy Ghost, I arise above every environmental gate of opposition, oppression, suppression, and persecution, in my environment, I pull you down, in the name of Jesus.
9. By the power in the Blood of Jesus, let every ancient gate, generational gates as well as tribal gates of opposition, be pulled down, in the name of Jesus.
10. O Lord let every slave driver, driving my family into slavery and poverty, catch fire and die, I will triumph over my trials and persecutions, I will testify over my testing, in the name of Jesus.
11. By the Blood of Jesus, Let those who want to block me and overshadow me catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
12. My Father! My Father! Send your warring angels to search and destroy every spirit of persecution monitoring my life and destiny, O Lord move me forward despite persecutions, in Jesus name.
13. Pray in tongues for 10 minutes for the Holy Ghost to connect you with your warfare angels to help you overcome your persecutions
