Introduction.
Many people don’t know that every credible religion, sect, cult, or spiritual authority has a code of ethics or laws that govern it, and they must be obeyed to receive any benefit, and if you break them, then you are likely to be punished by the same law. So as Christians, we have our own book of the law that governs how we do things:
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8).
Remember, for you to understand these laws, you must be spiritual, because these laws emanate from a spiritual source before you can see their effect on the earth since they are spiritual in nature (Romans 7:14). So:
A person who isn’t spiritual doesn’t accept the teachings of God’s Spirit. He thinks they’re nonsense. He can’t understand them because a person must be spiritual to evaluate them. (1 Corinthians 2:14).
Speak to the Earth? Why?! How?! For what purpose??
We see that in the book of Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” And from this earth, God created us, according to Genesis 2:7.
God was the first to speak to the land or earth and instruct it to produce something, and it did because the earth has ears and can hear.
Genesis 1:11-12 Then God said, “Let the land, earth sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation—all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.“
All was well, and the earth kept producing good things until it was cursed by God when Adam sinned.
Genesis 3:17–19 says, “…You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the Earth, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Brethren We don’t have to take out the curse from the whole earth, but only where we want to see things start to manifest, and that is why people make an altar to help them do that. Remember, altars connect people to heaven, and it’s like people bring a little piece of heaven with them to the place where they build that altar. In heaven, there are no curses but blessings.
Short Story To Teach Us To Rely On God At All Times
There was once a boy who went hiking on the mountain with his father and an uncle. So while they were there, the boy sneaked out of their sight while they were talking and wondered deep into the forest, far from them. The boy tried to look for them, and when he didn’t get them and it was getting dark, he chose to begin climbing down. It was getting darker and darker so dark that he could barely see. He was somehow managing to get down the mountain, supporting himself with his hands and feet.
Suddenly, his feet slipped. He fell and caught hold of the branch of the tree. Since the branch was his only source of support, he was holding it tightly enough. He began shouting, “Is there anybody to help me out.” No reply! He kept yelling and yelling, Dad! dad! Finally, he heard a soft, still voice. “Yes, I am there to help you.” Greatly excited, he shouted, “Thank you, May I know who you are?” Quick came the reply, “I am not your dad, but I am God.
I can help you, but you will have to take your hands off the branch first before I can help you. Not willing to do so, the boy kept hanging all through the night and finally died. The next morning, the father and uncle saw the dead boy and found out that the branch on which he was hanging was just two feet above the safe ground.
Example Of People Who Spoke To The Earth And It Obeyed Them.
All you need to do, according to Job 12:8, is” Speak to the earth, and it will instruct (teach) you…” to get what you need and if it’s according to the law, then the earth will vomit it for you in due time. Remember, everything has a time and a season.
1. Jeremiah
O land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the LORD says: Write this about Jehoiakin: He will be childless. He won’t prosper in his lifetime. None of his descendants will succeed him as king. They won’t sit on David’s throne and rule Judah again. (Jeremiah 22:29-30 ).
This is to show you that the earth or land has the capacity to hear and respond in a certain way, which might be good or bad depending on the circumstances.
2. Jesus
Earth was believed to store grief and even misfortunes in certain places like in the graves, caves and even evil forests that is why when you visited a Jewish house, the first thing, he did was to wash your feet so as to clean all the negative energy you might have contracted on your way to his house. That is the reason why Jews whitewashed their tombs, as we see in this Bible passage:
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.” (Matthew 23:27).
It was believed that you might have stepped on a tomb and attracted uncleanness from it and became unclean and that is why you needed to be cleansed before you made all the other people unclean too and that is why even Jesus practiced it, as we can see in the bible passage below:
“Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair.” (Luke 7:44),
3. Abram
According to Genesis 22:8–14, Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied.
“Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” Abraham looked up, and there, in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
We see that Abram understood the power that can be brought to a place, land, earth, or people when they are connected to an altar. When the altar is in good condition, we see that God takes over and provides whatever is lacking or is needed at the moment.
4. Isaac
Genesis 26:1-3,” Now there was a famine in the land, earth—besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar. The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you…”
Up to this point, Isaac was going by formula. But when the Lord appeared to him, he said He did not want Isaac to go to Egypt, but rather to stay in Canaan and the Lord promised to bless him there. The Lord was doing a different thing (Isaiah 43:19) in Isaac’s day than Abraham’s and it was critical to flow with His plan. The same is true for every generation.
Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.” If he had gone to Egypt, he would have barely made a living with his family as a refugee. But obedience led to a great blessing.
According to Genesis 26:12–14 “When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the LORD blessed him. He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow. He acquired so many flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, and servants that the Philistines became jealous of him.”
It was during a time of famine, not plenty, that Isaac sowed seed throughout the land, earth. However, in God’s economy, it does not matter when you sow seed. He is the Lord of the harvest! (Matthew 9:38), and he is also the Lord of increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
Isaac not only reaped a crop, but one that was astonishingly large—a hundredfold crop from the earth, or 100 times more than what he had sown!
Some people don’t believe that you can trust God for a 100-fold return on your giving, but Jesus talked about it several times. In Matthew 13:23 and Mark 4:20, Jesus said that those who hear the Word, understand it, receive, accept, and welcome it, will bear fruit – some yielding 30, some 60, and some 100-fold! In Matthew 19:29 and Mark 10:30 Jesus said that those who have had to give up relationships or property for His sake would receive it all back multiplied by 100 here in this lifetime and they would also inherit eternal life.
Always remember that the Lord favored Isaac with blessings, according to Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the Lord-it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].” When God blesses you, He really blesses you. You must realize that it’s not dependent on your works alone, but on your faith in God.
The favor of God: when God’s favor is on your life, you don’t even need the money to get things done. Favor will make a way for you and take you where money alone cannot. Because Isaac trusted in God, and not in himself or in the elements, he prospered while others were struggling.
How Did Isaac Reap A Hundred Fold In Famine?
We know that there was great famine in the land, earth so I have asked, “Lord, did you cause it to rain only on Isaac’s crops and nowhere else? Or, did you miraculously cause his crops to grow without rain at all? What did you do?” I know the Lord is perfectly capable of doing any kind of miracle He wants,
We can see, according to Genesis 26:18–22, that before Isaac built an altar for the Lord, he tried everything, including digging wells, but he encountered one problem after another and never benefited from them.
Then, after Isaac realized that he couldn’t do it alone, we see that in Genesis 26:25,32 he built the Lord an altar at last, and from that altar, he sought the Lord’s wisdom, and the Lord spoke and showed him what to do and how to do it well. Isaac prospered by relationship with the Lord, not by a formula!.
As you are busy building an altar, you will find yourself speaking to the earth on where the altar is to be built. Isaac’s seeds produced crops during the drought because he introduced a new technology to the land of the Philistines. There is no rain, or water from above. The rivers are dry; there is no water available from them.” There must be water available from below. I could irrigate my crops using well water. He irrigated his crops with well water!
He adapted the cutting edge technology of his day to the conditions existing in Canaan, and his crops grew when nobody else’s would. Remember, Proverbs 8:12,” I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”
Because of this one idea from God, not only did Isaac have plenty of food for his household, but he also had an abundance left over to sell to the Philistines. His prosperity really began to increase rapidly now, as the wealth of the Philistines was transferred from them to him.
5. Naaman.
Naaman responded, “If not, please let your servant be given as much soil as a pair of mules can carry, for your servant will no longer offer a burnt offering or a sacrifice to any other god but the LORD. (2 Kings 5:17).
This soil (Earth) will speak for me at all times, and when God sees me praying kneeling on this soil (earth), he will hear me just as he hears Israel pray from the temple where this soil (Earth) comes from.
