ToggleYou feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. Psalm 36:8
Did you know that there is abundance everywhere you look?
I Want to think of abundance that you are surrounded by, everywhere you look you will see abundance there is abundance of trees, grass, birds, water, grass animals everywhere look there is abundance. Even a small child if you sent him or her to go and bring you any of those things I have mentioned he or she will easily bring them to you because these things are everywhere and in great abundance. So, I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
But if you are blind or from another planet then you might miss these things even if they are right in front of you. The only limit to the availability of these things is in our minds through wrong condition and learning from the wrong people.
Just imagine you wore glasses and it was through them that you viewed everything and then one day them fall down and cracked and because you didn’t have money to buy new ones or repair them you still decide to continue wearing them, let me ask you do you think that you would be able to see things the same way others see them or you used to see them?
This is the case with many of us we view things with the wrong lenses or glasses or even worse we view things with dirty glass due to sins and even poor conditioning. But, “Listen! The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. (Isaiah 59:1). I want to stop and have a look at yourself and how you view abundance is it the way God intended you to view it or has something gone very wrong with the way you view things.
Do you thing that you need to do something about it.
We keep blaming other for our failures to receive this abundance the only one to blame for why you are not abundant is yourself. Your actions up to this point have led you to receiving or not receiving abundance. Remember abundance is governed by laws of nature which governs all the abundance you see. So, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
If you steal from someone you are just steal from your future and you will one day, as a thief be caught and pay 7 times (Proverbs 6:31). According to Proverbs 17:13 If you try to harm others you are only trying to harm yourself it might take sometime but it will come.
For instance, if you destroy other people’s children yours will too be destroyed and then you will remember that you destroyed other people’s children. Proverbs 23:7, As a man thinks so he is. If you can hold it in your mind, you can hold it in your hands.
A child from a poor background he thinkings that food will finish and that is why he eats a lot because he grew with nothing. Most people are just recycling themselves over and over year after year and no wonder they have nothing to different to show for their lives. Yes, abundance is everywhere but we shouldn’t determine it how it will show up for example I want money but I don’t want it come in this way.
For instance, according to 2 Kings 6:25-31, the bible us that there was great famine in Samaria and due to this famine people of Samaria ate anything they could laid hands on this included things like donkey’s head and dove dungs and because of this even the King wanted to kill his prophet Elisha.
Why the King wanted to kill Elisha was because he was surrounded by abundance and simply because he couldn’t see it then he wanted to blame it on someone and make that person pay for it.
According to 2 Kings 7:1-16 Be open channel, The Samarian authority there was no way out of this problem because they had done everything they could and failed and so nothing was left except to wait for death, but the man of God knew that we are surrounded by abundance everywhere whether we can see it now or not it right there and all we have to do is ask and the Lord and He will lead us to where it is and that is what Prophet Elisha did he prayed and God answered in his best way, so brethren be open minded when you ask for anything from the Lord.
According to John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. Some people who have read this verse have taken Jesus at his word and gone to do amazing things and one of this is Saint Spyridon.
A story is told of a man of God called Saint Spyridon from Cyprus who lived in the earlier 4th Century who Saved his village called Corfu from Famine. During a severe famine on the island of Corfu. Saint Spyridon appeared to a ship captain in a dream and directed him to bring grain to the island. The ship arrived with the much-needed supplies, saving the people from starvation. He then prayed and after this God sent rain to end this severe drought in Cyprus.
Stop believing that money can only come from a job that is the traditional way no matter what you do money shows up. Remember the how is left to God.
Remember that according to Genesis 2:15 God created the garden of Eden full of abundance in its full form and gave it to Adam to manage in short it wasn’t Adams responsibility to know where the food to feed the animals will come from because God used to provide in the garden but he was a care taker. So it’s not your work to figure out where the abundance will come from but when it shows up you are suppose to remember that God gave it for you to be a good manager of it and you don’t own it but you are just a custodian.
Because Jesus understood this concept of abundance from the time of the garden of Eden whereby He knew that everything that Adam and even the animals needed was inside the garden and not outside so they were not supposed to look elsewhere. So, remember also everything you need and much more is inside the Kingdom so seek it and understand it first according to Matthew 6:33
So based on this that is why when the taxman asked Jesus to pay the taxes Jesus didn’t look further than his surroundings because the same God who put you here knew that in there, there is enough provision so that is why Jesus sent peter to go and catch a fish and get a coin from its mouth and pay the taxes (Matthew 17:24-27).
God can use anything to bring that abundance to you for peter he used a fish and for Elijah God used ravens to feed him (1 Kings 17:2-6) and for Noah he used a raven and a dove as a Messager’s (Genesis 8:6-12). According to Exodus 7:10-12 Moses used his rod which turned to a snake to deliver the children of Israel from pharaohs hand.
8 Modern Day True Stories Of How We Live In A World Full Of Abundance.
1.Snake Turn To Gold.
A true story is told of a saint called Spyridon who lived in 4th-century one day a poor man came asked him for money to repay a debt but since this saint didn’t have money with him he told this disciple to look around and he asked him what do you see and the poor man said I see a snake so then the saint said to the man take the snake by the tail and he did so.
The snake turned to a bar of Gold so he told him to go and use this bar of gold as collateral for his debt and then when he has finish paying the debt he should take that same bar of Gold and then return it to where he took it from and when he dropped it down it became a snake again and it went away.
According to Luke 9:11-16-17 Jesus understood that there is great abundance all around us and sometimes its packaged in small unnoticeable packaging which might go unnoticed, just like these five loaves and the two fish but when God opens your eyes to see the lock you have to open with whatever little you have then you receive abundance.
2.The Miraculous Multiplication of Loaves
On another occasion, when there was a severe shortage of food and famine had gripped the land, the people gathered for prayers and Saint Spyridon prayed over a single loaf of bread, and by the grace of God, it multiplied to feed the entire congregation. This act not only provided physical nourishment but also spiritually sustained the people in their faith.
3.The Multiplication of Food During a Famine
During a time of great famine in Corfu, the people were in desperate need of food. They prayed to Saint Spyridon for help, and, miraculously, oil and flour began to multiply in their homes and farms. What little they had became more than enough to feed the community, and the famine was averted. This miracle of providence is still remembered today as a powerful testimony to the saint’s ability to provide for his people.
4.Saint Spyridon’s Aid in a Harvest
A group of farmers in Corfu were facing a failing harvest due to poor weather conditions and pests. They prayed to Saint Spyridon for help. The saint appeared in a vision, instructing them to perform certain rituals and prayers. Miraculously, the weather improved, and the harvest flourished, providing enough food for the community. The farmers praised Saint Spyridon for his direct intervention.
5.Saint Spyridon’s Intercession for the Fertility of the Land
A farmer, whose land had become barren and unproductive, turned to Saint Spyridon for help. After praying fervently, the land miraculously became fertile again, yielding a rich harvest that year. The farmer’s gratitude led to a large offering at the church, and the area around his farm was also blessed, leading to the prosperity of the surrounding region.
6.The Saint’s Assistance to a Farmer in Drought
A farmer in Corfu, whose crops were withering due to a severe drought, prayed to Saint Spyridon for rain. Shortly after his prayer, the skies opened, and a refreshing rainstorm began, saving the crops. The farmer gave thanks to Saint Spyridon, and his harvest was plentiful that year, a result of the saint’s divine assistance.
7.Reviving a Farmer’s Livestock: When a farmer’s livestock died suddenly, St. Spyridon prayed, and the animals were revived. According to John 2:6-10 Jesus understood that whatever you need to have that abundance you need is just around you and it might even not look like the abundance you recognise but just trust and it will be so.
8. Multiplying Wine: At a wedding feast, when the wine ran out, Saint. Spyridon prayed, and the jars were miraculously refilled.
One of the things that keeps us stuck in a scarcity mentality is that it’s so easy to think about what we don’t have, and so hard to remember all that we do.
