Smile is the most powerful weapon you have. Even it’s listed as number 2 of the 43 Habits of the happiest People in the world. According to Proverbs 15:13 “When people are happy, they begin smiling, but when they are sad, they look depressed”.
God Himself taught us how to smile since He himself does it according to Psalm 119:135 “Smile on me…”. So, Smiling is one of the human expressions common in all human beings they smile the same way; to express joy and satisfaction. When smiling it stimulates our brain better than eating up to 2000 bars of chocolate!
The Power Of A Smile
Remember let us always meet each other with a smile, for it is the beginning of love. It makes those around us feel welcome, accepted, wanted. This is what we are each ultimately looking for, isn’t it? Follow it up with words of encouragement, and you have a winning combination. In short treat others the way you want to be treated.
Since God smiles, He passes it to the developing babies in their mother’s womb here they appear to be smiling. Even When they’re born, babies continue smiling, especially in their sleep. They even do it at the sound of a human voice.
But as they grow, they only smile as many as 400 times per day! No wonder you being around children makes us happy! It’s shocking to see that happy people still smile, 40-50 times a day, the average of us only does so 20 times. Lets smile more like babies No wonder the Bible in the book of Luke 18:16 says “So Jesus called the children over to him and said, “Let the children come to me! Don’t try to stop them. People who are like these children belong to God’s kingdom”.
So, smiling more and make sure its transmitted to those we touch via voice, email or text. In short bring light into your world and spread it to those around you! In case we have lost our’s due to changes nowadays we might be able to regain it and our focus just by looking at smiling people.
The next time your world is turned upside down, something as simple as smiling can help us move into a state of happiness where the light is much brighter and we can better ‘see’ what we are facing; what we need to do to keep moving forward whenever we feel like not moving is lighten up, just enjoy life, smile more, laugh more, and don’t get so worked up about things beyond our control.
There is no pre-determined number of smiles we each need to right side our world after something major happens. We will each know when our ‘smiling tank’ is full. Smiling makes you healthier. Proverbs 17:22 “A joyful heart is good medicine, but depression drains one’s strength.” Remember smiling doesn’t always mean you’re happy. Sometimes it simple means that you’re a strong person
When you’re smiling you gain so much in terms of your health:
The chemical reaction caused by smiling in the brain, can help us lowers our high blood pressure through Strengthens your immune system. The act of smiling actually makes us feel better by sending feedback to our brains, telling us we’re happy i.e. Relieves stress to both you and the person to whomever you’re smiling at (Proverbs 15:13When people are happy, they continue smiling, but when they are sad, they look depressed). So, remember smiling can help us move past feelings of sadness, fearfulness, hurt, anxiety, etc.
Smiling at those around you, those you care about deeply, your family and friends is beneficial. Also share a smile to those you come in contact with on a daily basis, your workmates, strangers on the street or tax. Smile at anyone who looks like they could use one. It really can turn someone’s day around. By lending a smile, you are reaching out to your fellow man and connecting. I would encourage you to smile often.
