What Do You Mean By A Devouring Evil House?
We see that in the book of Joshua 6:26, that, “At that time Joshua invoked this curse: “May the curse of the LORD fall on anyone who tries to rebuild the town of Jericho. At the cost of his firstborn son, he will lay its foundation. At the cost of his youngest son, he will set up its gates.” So this verse tells us that Jericho’s foundation was cursed; anyone who rebuilt it would lose children.
This is what we call a devouring house curse. Devouring evil houses are spiritual dwellings (physical or ancestral) empowered by demonic covenants, altars, or wickedness, designed to consume destinies, wealth, and life itself instead of providing refuge. These houses swallow generations (family patterns of premature death, poverty, and delay).
7 Signs That You Are Living In A Devouring Evil House.
- Swallowing of Destinies (Jeremiah 51:34) – like Nebuchadnezzar, they “devour” and “swallow” glory.
- Spiritual Starvation – No matter how much you work, you remain broke because the house consumes your harvest, money. They eat your finances (money disappears mysteriously).
- Blood-draining – Constant sicknesses, deaths, and hospital runs are demanded as food by the house.
- Marriage Devourers – People from such houses often face broken marriages, delayed marriages, or barrenness.
- Mental Captivity – Dreams of being trapped in strange rooms, attics, or houses represent mental and spiritual imprisonment. Dream revelations of being eaten by a house, swallowed by doors, or trapped inside with no exit.
- Continuous spiritual oppression—seeing shadows, strange movements, or hearing voices in the house.
- Dry prayer life – They consume people’s prayers (fasting and prayers feel swallowed).
Let’s Pray To Destroy Devouring Evil House:
1.By the power in the blood of Jesus, I disconnect myself from every covenant entered knowingly or unknowingly with any devouring house. I withdraw my name, my bloodline, and my inheritance from every satanic register of evil houses, in Jesus’ name.
2.In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every gate of the devouring evil house opened against me, to be shut permanently by the keys of David. Let every evil power using those houses to cage my virtues, release them by fire, in Jesus name.
3.By the fire of the Holy Ghost, I command every evil eating house that has swallowed my prayers, fasting, or sacrifices to vomit them sevenfold, in Jesus name.
4.Heavenly Father, let my house be marked by Your glory so that these devouring spirits cannot enter, let every spiritual termite eating the beams of my destiny be consumed by the Holy Ghost fire in Jesus’ name.
5.Heavenly Father build for me a house of glory, peace, and divine security, let every witchcraft house assigned to eat my blessings, catch fire and burn to ashes, in Jesus’ name.
