Nowadays we live in world of uncertainties. the only things we can be certain about these days are death and taxes. Just pick up today’s paper and the headlines are screaming with news that let’s us know we are living uncertain times. Economic instability, Convid-19, Wars etc. Remember in Matthew 24:6–7 it says, “And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world”.
How To Overcome Uncertainties.
Life is full of ‘what ifs’ and ‘mights’ and we seem to walk a fine line between what is known, familiar, or for sure and what is unknown, unfamiliar, or uncertain. Change can bring about a lot of “not familiars” about which we may feel threatened. But we should know that If we begin with certainties, we shall end in doubts. But if will we begin in doubts, we shall end in certainties.
Uncertainty can be very uncomfortable especially if we want to feel that we are masters of our own ship, in control of our fate. We want to carry on with what we were doing in our past into our future, since a future that is familiar, stable and predictable feels comforting. Focusing on possibilities and opportunities makes dealing with uncertainty a little easier. Remember regarding the future, your task is not to foresee it but to enable it.
Failing to accept the uncertainties of life is what brings about stress and frustration in our lives. Accepting uncertainty is a challenge but it can stop us living in a world of confusion. Uncertainty brings opportunity and opportunity leads to growth. Only in giving up the security of the known can we create new opportunities, grow capability, build confidence and expand our influence.
Sometimes when you take a leap of faith and step into unknown territory it doesn’t mean everything you try will work out. But as every successful person will tell you, it’s only by being willing to try something new that you can ever accomplish more than what’s been done before. Remember sometimes the goals we set ourselves, will not be the ones we eventually act on. “We make our own plans, but the LORD decides where we will go”. Proverbs 16:9
Instead of feeling stuck, wishing for a crossroads to appear so that you can take a different path, waiting for the signs to come flashing in your direction, for a contact to call you up with a job offer. what you realized is that you need to come to the decision, not the other way around. You will never be happy unless you take responsibility for your own happiness.
You should learn not to interpret the future as empty, but as open, full of possibilities, full of opportunities waiting for you to be the explore. Avoid being pessimistic and negative
You should take things day by day, by so doing you may gain a little more strength and courage each day to tackle and deal with the uncertainty. Rather than trying to tackle something in the unknown all at once, break things down into smaller portions. Asking small questions does not create fear. Expecting small answers breaks down resistance. Taking small actions guarantees progress. Solving small problems provides confidence. Recognizing small moments is the key to moving forward.
Sometimes just slightly changing our daily routine helps us realize we’re capable of dealing with what life may deal us.
Faith maintains the feeling that things will work out even though we are not certain of the outcome. Faith helps us believe that we will find a way through whatever we face.
Yes, you may still be unemployed and worry that you will not find a job; however, that is when you should remind yourself of how much you have accomplished already. Remember If you don’t give yourself credit, no one else will. So, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’- Matthew 22:3
If you commit to finding happiness, the world can open up in ways that were never apparent before. If you commit to taking an active role in life, nothing can stop you from achievement.
