Everyone in life goes through things you have not knowing you ask yourself why things happened or how you will go through them. The reason being you don’t see how you will come out of the situation due to the facts that are against you. Everything seems to be against you.
No matter how hard we try we don’t get far, and the reason is that God doesn’t want us to know. No wonder God said in:
Deuteronomy 29:29 tells that God might keep certain secrets from us while he allows us to know others for our benefit.
God might hide some things from our knowing (he wants us to reach a state of not knowing) because if he was to show us what he had for us in store it would blow our minds.
2 Kings 4:27 Even to great prophets as Elisha God hid certain things from them and this left them frustrated.
If God was to show us what he had in store it won’t require any amount of faith. Believe the test comes when you don’t know the answer. When the miracle will happen, when you will get that job. That is the test of your faith.
Genesis 12:1 The LORD wanted Abram, to leave the known his country, his relatives, and his father’s home, and go to the unknown. That was his test will you still trust me when all this is taken from you.
Genesis 15:5-7 Abram still trusted God even when he did not know what the lord had for him.
In Judges 7:4-7 Gideon didn’t know whether with 300 soldiers he would win but he still went ahead
To know what God’s knows you must forget what you know.
STORY OF THE STUDENT WHO KNEW MORE THAN THE TEACHER TO ILLUSTRATE NOT KNOWING
There is one student who went looking for a teacher to teach him and when he got to the teacher who lived very far the teacher told the student to wait for him to serve him tea. So the teacher started pouring tea to the cup of the student and the teacher continued pouring the tea until it was overflowing then student told the teacher to stop.
It was when the teacher told the student that if the student knows everything then there is no use of the teacher because he is not ready to take any new information since the student knows it all. So, do you think that you know it all? You need to empty your mind so as to receive new know. Be like the children who don’t know what will happen to them from time to time (Matthew 18:3). Have a beginner’s mind i.e., a childlike mind.
God will push you beyond your limits i.e., what you know and that is why God says lengthen your…or what your know Isa 54:2. Faith is the answer to the problem of not knowing. It’s ok not knowing or having knowledge what the future holds.
Hebrews 11:1 To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.
Just imagine if you were Moses and didn’t have the knowledge what you will eat, wear drink etc on you journey to can nan land. This required great faith in God, simply because you don’t know doesn’t mean God don’t know. Its ok not knowing how everything will work out. Not knowing is Ok.
Take one step at a time. You don’t have to have all the answers. Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Not knowing is ok as you never know what can happen.
If God was to show you the giants, the red seas, and the deserts you would need to over come then most of us won’t even embark on the Journey in the first place and would be stuck in one place. In short, we would talk ourselves off some of the great things God has for us. So, it’s better not knowing. You don’t have to know as long as God knows
According to Isaiah 38:1-5 If you knew what God was about to do you might not let him do it and as a result it might come with bad result later.
James 4:14 You don’t even know what your life tomorrow will be! So, he would have accepted what God knew of him (he was comfortable not knowing).
In the 15 years after his illness, Hezekiah fathered the heir to his throne, Manasseh. Manasseh would be incredibly evil and undo most of his father’s reforms (2 Kings 18-20; 2 Chronicles 29-32; Isaiah 36-39). He brought immorality back to Judah, promoted the worship of pagan gods, and Jewish tradition says he even may have murdered Hezekiah’s long-time friend, Isaiah
Let’s take ourselves out of the throne and put God back in the throne to lead us. STOP playing God otherwise you will be hurt. God who made get the land for this church is the God who would…
Isaiah 55:8-9 God doesn’t do things the same way he will do it different for all of us.
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Romans 8:26 Paul was comfortable not knowing, and not knowing or having all the answers.
STORY OF ONE BROKEN POT AND THE GOOD POT.
Once upon time a farmer used to go to the river to fetch water with two pots on his shoulder one was perfect and the other had a small crack. The farmer knew that one of this two pots had a crack, so he planted seeds all the way from the river to his house so that this broken pot can be watering them. So, after two years there were many beautiful flowers growing along the way.
In the beginning the neighbours thought that there was something wrong with him, but the farmer knew very well what he was doing and hence he got water as well as flowers from this same broken pot. But for all the other farmers who had perfect pots they only got water from the pot and nothing else.
So be careful to ensure no matter the weakness you have be it lack of education, money etc there is still great value in you you might not know about it until you take the first step to the unknown. You don’t need a degree, connections to get started at anything. What we don’t know might be put there by God for a good purpose. Just accept that there are things you will never know.
Yes, I don’t have the answer but Lord, I know you have the answers, and all things will work out for good (Romans 8:28)
The reason most people have not do much with their lives is because they want to first know much to get started. As a result, they don’t get started and they end up as none starters.
We should start new things, projects despite our limited knowledge. If you feel lacking in knowledge call unto God like David did in the book of 1 Samuel 30:8 David asked the LORD, “Shall I go after those raiders? And will I catch them?” He answered, “Go after them; you will catch them and rescue the captives.”
Learn to take action no matter what Ecclesiastes 9:11 Don’t wait until you are perfect. There is nothing like perfect.
Did you know that the more you know the more you know how much you don’t know?
The more you know that you don’t know the more likely you are to are to listen to others. So truly Christians should be comfortable not knowing.
