Introduction.
In God’s kingdom, God is a man of war (Exodus 15:3) who first teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to battle (Psalm 144:1) immediately we join the Kingdom.
After God teaches us, according to Jeremiah 1:10, God appoints us over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant. In order to possess our possessions according to Deuteronomy 1:21 “The LORD your God is giving you this land. Go ahead! Take possession of it, as the LORD God of your ancestors told you. Don’t be afraid or terrified.”
We are supposed to possess our possessions from the god of this world the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4). He is the one who controls all the systems of the world (financial, insurance, etc). Why does he control them? Because according to Luke 4:5-6, “Then the Devil took him up and showed him in a second all the kingdoms of the world. “I will give you all this power and all this wealth,” the Devil told him. “It has all been handed over to me, and I can give it to anyone I choose.”
So, If ever you wanted to possess anything of value or good, then you have to fight for it since there are spiritual forces who are out to oppose you (Ephesians 6:11-12). Most believers are deceived in their minds that when they receive a prophecy or a word of knowledge it means that God will give them that thing automatically. No wonder many Christians have slogans like ‘when Jesus says yes, no man can say no’ My dear brothers and sisters you are going to have to wait for a very long time until Jesus comes back.
Did you know why? it’s because it will be Jesus who will tell you that he gave you what you had asked for, but you had to fight for it, just like God answered Daniel’s prayer, but the answer was withheld by the prince of Persia and only through a fight was the answer released (Daniel 10:12-13). So, most of our answers to various issues, cars, houses, and other possessions are held by various demonic forces at various locations. So, we must fight first so that we can receive, and Possess our blessings Just like the children of Israel had to fight the giants to inherit and Possess the land of Canaan which God had promised them.
How Do We Wage The War To Possess Our Possession?
According to Joel 1:4, “What the devouring locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust has left, the young locust has eaten; and what the young locust has left, the destroying locust has eaten.”
Do you feel like you have been robbed at every stage of your life? During our youth and even now. Have you been robbed of something here and there until you feel like you are leaving an empty life?
God says he is willing to restore what was stolen from you so that you can re Possess it.
Joel 2:25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you.
But first, inquire from the lord just like what King David did in 1 Samuel 30:8 And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue; for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
God says in John 14:14, “If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” But how do we ask?
According to Isaiah 43:26, God says “Let us go to court; bring your accusation! Present your case to prove you are in the right!” (GNT). That is why when we meet here in MTM Church, we are in a court of heaven session where we try to the best of our knowledge to argue our cases according to Isaiah 41:21, “Present your case,” says the LORD. “Set forth your arguments,” says Jacob’s King.
Is It Possible To Possess Your Possissions Many Times?
If you do it correctly you can even recover and Possess several times more:
You can recover 2 times.
Job 42:10, “After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”
You can recover and re Possess 7 times.
Proverbs 6:31-32, “People don’t despise a thief if he steals food when he is hungry; yet if he is caught, he must pay back seven times more—he must give up everything he has.”
Why Are We As Believers Failing To Possess our Possissions?
Remember we all left those dead churches where we were only consoled and made to feel good with no targetable solution to show. Remember if you have a problem you don’t want to hear a story after a story but all you need is a real solution nothing more nothing less. Instead, most churches have very nice music, and drama to keep you laughing all the time while keeping you away from what brought you there in the first place which is not a laughing matter.
If we say that we are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, then our church should be a place where people come offload their problems and go home free (Psalm 55:22). Those people who are sick, have debts, have other problems then this is the place to come and offload those things. This is not a place to come and be consoled but to receive solutions.
So brethren don’t stay in a dead church and make the pastors, prophets, etc rich while you end up getting poorer and poorer if you are not getting the solution, you came looking for then just leave and look for your God-send pastor who you’re your solution from God at hand (Jeremiah 3:15).
Most of us when we got born again, we thought that we will get rich and build big mansions here on earth since the bible says so in Deuteronomy 8:18, But now that we see that we are advanced in age we have abandoned that dream and now we believe that we will live in the mansions which Jesus went to build for us in heaven (John 14:2-3).
No wonder many false churches have become comfort zone in short dying zones, because they are teaching half-backed truths, for instance, they might read a verse like Isaiah 40:31a, the first part which says, “…but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength.”
So, they tell their believers to wait upon the lord and do nothing and that is why most of the believers are still waiting upon the lord until now while others have received the strength but haven’t started using it to run or fly as the bible instructs us in the second part of Isaiah 40:31b, no wonder they haven’t received the miracle which is hidden in the running and flying and not in the waiting forever only.
We are just waiting for the cars, mansions, etc to appear miraculously without fighting for them, in short doing our part. You want to possess things without even praying, fasting, and following kingdom principles.
For instance, we see in the book of Genesis 15:13, “God said to Abram, “You can know for sure that your descendants will live in a land that is not their own, where they will be slaves, and they will be oppressed for 400 years.”
So just like the children of Israel received this prophecy and waited for the time to come, Most people after they receive a prophecy, are willing to wait for God to take them out of their misery.
They didn’t want to do anything to make the prophecy they just want to sit and wait for it to happen if it delays it’s not the prophet who is wrong, but you didn’t do your part. It’s not just receiving and that is all, there are things you should do.
There are red seas to part, mountains in front of you, and even lions and bears to overcome before you come to your promised land. So, after the children of Israel saw that the time had passed according to prophecy as we can see in the book of Exodus 12:40-41, “The Israelites had been living in Egypt for 430 years. After exactly 430 years all the LORD’s people left Egypt in organized family groups.”
How Can We Possess Our Possessions As Believers?
They cried to God and He heard them according to Exodus 3:7-8, The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings. I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. So do you feel like it has taken too long, then Cry to God, pray, fast and God will send your Moses to come and deliver you.
If you receive a certain prophecy you are supposed to follow the person who gave you that prophecy to show you what you need to do to receive it. That is why the prophet must be detailed and not vague. Not second guessing
According to Jeremiah 14:14-15, Jeremiah 23:21, and Jeremiah 27:15-18, these prophets were not sent by God and hence they didn’t hear from the Lord. The same applies to our modern-day prophets who prophesy the wrong things. They prophesy that you will get a Job, married, and business. But up until now, you have never got those things.
So, know that There is a war that is being fought to reclaim and Possess your Possessions and for that reason you should be ready at all times to fight the good fight did and come out a winner.
