Your Vision determines your outcome
If you can’t see anything in your mind’s eye then you might miss God’s guidance. According to 1 Chronicles 10:13-14, we must obey God’s guidance for us to succeed. So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord. He failed to obey the Lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium instead of asking the Lord for guidance. So the Lord killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.
DON’T WITHHOLD YOUR SEED
According to Ecclesiastes 11:5-6, Most of us withhold our seed, and no wonder we experience a delay in receiving. Remember the Bible says in Psalm 20:3 that God May remember all your sacrifices and accept all our burnt offerings. A case in point is found in Acts 10:4, Cornelius was surprised and stared at the angel. Then he asked, “What is this all about?” The angel answered, “God has heard your prayers and knows about your gifts to the poor .
Remember you can’t blame God that it is taking time to receive while either you have not planted what is asked, according to Matthew 7:7, Or you planted the wrong seed for example, you pray amiss (James 4:3) or even worse you plant in the wrong ground and hence the failure.
Remember in the kingdom, it’s supposed to be that before you pray, he has already answered you (Isaiah 65:24). So why the delay? It is because of what we see at the moment, so change your vision, and then everything changes immediately. Sin is the number one cause of delay (Isaiah 59:1-2).
Our human emotions, which are things like fear and doubt, interfere with God’s working, otherwise there is no space or distance between what you want and how long it takes for it to materialize.
In the book of James 5:16-17, It took a short prayer of faith for Elijah to shut the heavens, but it took 7 prayers to open the same heaven (1 Kings 18:43) why? maybe his state of the mind at the moment wasn’t right, and maybe he was full of fear and doubt asking himself this question,” what if it doesn’t work?” After all, Jesus used to pray a small prayer and heaven would open, because all it is, is a matter of faith.
Your vision determines your outcome. If you can’t see what you are writing as your vision means one thing only and that is, you won’t achieve it. According to Habakkuk 2:2 And the Lord said to me, “Write my answer on a billboard, large and clear so that anyone can read it at a glance and rush to tell the others.
If the vision is not clear, that is you can’t see it then we tend to look for an excuse to ignore it or even not do it at all. Most of us have great visions even written down on how we will go about things, but the only problem is we don’t have the discipline and time to follow through.
You will see that in Matthew 14:26-30 Most of us are motivated as long as someone is holding our hand, and is guiding what we see, for instance, Peter was doing well as long as he had fixed his eyes on Jesus, but when he defocused then he started to sink.
According to Genesis 13:14-17, we move towards what we can see either physically or in our mind’s eye. That is why we keep something symbolic in front of us so that our physical eye can communicate it to our mind’s eye which makes it come to pass.
For instance, in the book of Genesis 28:18-22 Jacob laid a memorial stone to remind him of the encounter and what would come out of the encounter in the future so as long as that stone was put constantly in his mind’s eye there was no room for failure no matter the discouragement. According to Genesis 31:5-8, Jacob was cheated many times by his father-in-law, but he never gave up until he achieved his goal.
So, what is your memorial stone? It could be buying baby clothes if you are expecting a child, adding an extra key to your key chain representing the house you are about to buy, keeping a photo or Bible verse of what you want in your presence, etc.
We tend to miss what God wants us to have because we are constantly keeping the wrong things in front of us. You can’t expect to be married and all I see in your house are pictures of divorcees and singles be it models or just friends.
What we put in front of us is like a signpost pointing us to where we are going. So where is your signpost pointing to? Remember according to Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish… Most people have lost that desire they used to have before due to circumstances beyond their control but not beyond God’s control. Remember God never lies or forgets and also nothing catches him by surprise.
Don’t have a small mindset that leads you to set small-time goals always remember that you are not inconveniencing God by thinking big. Yes, you don’t see a way but that is not a reason to put God in a box. Remember God’s plans are bigger than anything our eyes have seen (1 Corinthians 2:9) and God has better ways to bring these plans to pass (Isaiah 55:8-9). Our problems are natural, but we serve a supernatural God, who can do more than we can ask for (Ephesians 3:20).
If you don’t have a vision for something big, then it won’t come to pass. Don’t let the devil dream for you because he will steal or even worse of, he will kill a portion of the dream but instead let Jesus the giver of life give life to your dream, and it will live.
According to Matthew 13:55-57, some people might not support your vision just like in the case of Jesus, and even might mock you and try to talk you out of it but don’t take them seriously instead ignore them and keep following what God has planted in your spirit.
According to 2 Corinthians 4:18 remember that anything that doesn’t align with the will of the Father pertaining to your dream is subject. Yes, it may look like you will never succeed but remember that a day to God is like a thousand years, 2 Peter 3:8, so what could have taken you years with God it might take a few months. For instance, as for Joseph from a prison to a palace in a short period of time.
Stop dwelling on the past which you can’t change set your vision on something new and God will give it to you.
A story of a Shark that had a limited vision.
Once upon a time, there was a great tsunami in a distant land that swept marine life like sharks to a nearby village. So, a few of these sharks ended up in a river. Most of them died but a baby shark survived and learned how to live in this river with other fish. But after some time, it grew very much and the river was very uncomfortable for it, so it thought to itself ,”why can’t I go on swimming downstream, maybe I will get deeper waters to swim in and with more food.”
As it was swimming it reached a lake and this was great but as the shark grew it realized that the lake was also so small for sharks to live in and so it started swimming farther and farther until it reached the sea and for the first time it met other sharks and at least it felt at home. Just imagine if it stayed at that river what would have happened? Most likely it would have died or been killed by the villagers.
Most people are not like this shark, and they do not look ahead for greener pastures and no wonder they are dying where they are now.
