Brethren,If you have never made mistakes in your life then it means that you have never tried anything new in your life.Since the Bible say in Proverbs 24:16 that “For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.”So don’t be afraid when you make a mistake since mistakes are committed by both the strong as well as the weak people.
The only difference is that the strong people admit when they are wrong whereas the weak people look for execuses. We should never forget that life’s greatest lessons are usually learned at the worst times and from the worst mistakes. So, don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t waste your energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. It’s OK to fail. If you’re not failing, you’re not growing.
Learn From Your Mistakes
Yes I know that many of us see mistakes as a form of failure; but mistakes don’t have to always be looked at in a negative light. We should instead take the opportunity to turn our mistake(s) into a learning opportunity.During times like the ones we are in where everything is changing very fast mistakes are bound to happen. As human beings we all make mistakes, the difference is what we do after we make the mistake, how we see the mistake – a learning experience or a failure.
But we should view them as something good instead of feeling as if they are something ‘bad,’ as failures, or as more obstacles in the changed environment, we need to instead view them as opportunities for growth and learning. Mistakes are actually good for us. They do show us things that need a closer look; that need more attention.Everyone knows
Thomas Edison the Father of light bulb he once said, “I haven’t failed. I’ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”
There is a wise saying which go like this when the student is ready and willing to learn a new thing, then teacher will show up. Mistakes do help us learn and grow.
When a mistake happens we should look for the lesson in the mistake and then determine if we benefited from it.Always remind yourself that finding the good, the blessing in our mistake will help propel us to continue on in a more blessed and productive way.Just as paul advised us in Philippians 3:13 “Brothers and sisters, I know that I still have a long way to go. But there is one thing I do: I forget what is in the past and try as hard as I can to reach the goal before me.”
When a mistake happens Share with someone what happened, perhaps they’ve done something similar and can share their experience, how they coped, and what they learned.
Brethren If you want to succeed, double your failure rate. If you fail at something; if you make a mistake, take a step back and look for the lesson in what happened. Think about how things could be done differently and then work to implement those changes. Don’t let a fear of mistakes hold you back from negotiating the changes in your life. Be bold. Be courageous. And, take a closer look at what didn’t work and then work harder to find a solution that does work.Mistakes are meant for learning not repeating.According Proverbs 14:16-18 A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil.
Always remember that the Bible says in James 3:2-4 For all of us make many mistakes. If someone does not make any mistakes when he speaks, he is perfect and able to control his whole body. Now if we put bits into horses’ mouths to make them obey us, we can guide their whole bodies as well. And look at ships! They are so big that it takes strong winds to drive them, yet they are steered by a tiny rudder wherever the helmsman directs.
Yes we all make mistakes just as the Bible says in 1 John 1:8 “If we say that we do not have any sin, we are deceiving ourselves and we’re not being truthful to ourselves.” , but we should never let our mistakes define us. I will admit some mistakes are more costly then others, but we are to use them to become wiser. God will always remains faithful to his children. Are you learning from your mistakes brethren? Do you continue to dwell on them? Forget your past mistakes and keep moving toward the eternal prize.
God is always with you and he will restore and strengthen you. Lamentations 3:22-25 says that “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.”
I hope that during this year and the years to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing your immediate world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.Afterall we need to realize that our path to greatness is through our mistakes. We’re meant to make mistakes, recognize them, and move on to become unlimited beings. A baby don’t learn to walk by following rules. It learns to walk by doing, and by falling over.
