ToggleWhen the unclean spirit goes out of a man… he returns and finds the house empty, swept, and put in order.” — Matthew 12:43–45.
What Are Unfinished Battles?
Unfinished battles are spiritual conflicts left unresolved, which can continue to drain strength, delay destiny, reopen old wounds and even give the enemy legal ground to re-attack. What you tolerate unfinished will demand attention again. That is why unfinished battles become inherited struggles. Because what you leave undone will return with reinforcements according toLuke 4:13“He departed… until an opportune time.”.
Unfinished battles do not disappear they relocate. Unfinished battles are invitations for counterattacks., because the enemy studies the unfinished wars for future advantage. For instance, God commanded total obedience, but Israel stopped short. Because “They did not drive out the inhabitants…” — Judges 1:27–36. Later, those spared enemies became thorns, traps, and idols. Always remember that partial obedience creates future warfare.
Afterall you cannot claim territory you did not finish clearing. Many of us quit at the point where the enemy is already wounded. If the battle keeps returning, it was never finished so finish it now or it will finish you this time. Remember that you are not alone because the same God who started the fight will complete it. Afterall Heaven never forgets unfinished victories.
