Are you using your own strength to do things? Instead use your own trials and your struggles to rely more upon the power of God. God provides both physical and spiritual strength in our time of need. Christ is our only source of it. There is an infinite amount of it available for those who are in Christ (Ephesians 6:10). So, we have to rely upon the Lord daily. God gives us power to overcome temptation and stand against Satan’s tricks. According to James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”.
God Gives Us Strength to Win
During Bible times God gave believers the strength to remain in captivity for years. Remember nobody can hurt you without your permission. If God can break physical chains during peter’s time how much more can He break the chains that are in your life? As Christians we should never give quit. Afterall God gives us strength to endure and keep moving. Remember with total submission to the power of God we are able to endure and overcome any situation that might arise in our Christian life.
Especially, when we are in an impossible situation, we should remember the strength of God. There is nothing He can’t do. All of God’s promises for God’s help are available to us today. According to Philippians 4:13 “I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me”. Since “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”- Matthew 19:26
Give God your weakness and He’ll give you His strength. Wasn’t it the power of God that helped you before? Why do you doubt? Have faith! Food, TV, and the internet won’t give you strength in your time of need. It will only give you a temporary way to cope with the pain in that moment of hard times.
You need God’s strength when your own fails you. At times our body will fail us, but the strength of the Lord never fails. According to Psalm 73:26 “My body and mind may fail, but you are my strength and my choice forever”. Remember fall Seven Times, Stand Up Eight should be your motto. Always we should go to the prayer closet and say God I need you to give me strength constantly. 1 Chronicles 16:11 “Look to the LORD and his power; seek his face always”.
God gives us the strength to move forward even though we feel weak after all strength does not come from physical capacity it comes from Him. Remember everyone has some special strengths and one has to recognize them so that they can give them a sense of direction for their lives. It is well said that money can’t buy happiness, and it’s the state of mind that makes a person happy or sad.
People who know their strengths never compare themselves with others. Sometimes the devil tries to use weariness to stop us from doing God’s will, but God gives it to us to do His will and accomplish His will. According to 2 Timothy 2:1 “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus”.
Nowadays parents usually compare their children’s grades with others at school. This is totally wrong because every individual has different abilities and strengths. By comparing kids with their peers, creates unnecessary pressure on the child. Always remember when the Lord is your strength you and your family are extremely blessed. According to Psalm 84:4-5 “Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed are those whose power is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage”.
In the Old Testament, God often told the leaders of Israel to reduce the size of their army. In Judges 7, God ordered Gideon to reduce his army of 32,000 men to just 300 soldiers because He wanted their trust. He didn’t want Gideon and his fighting men claiming a victory and accrediting their battle success to their own might. God changed the odds and made what seemed an impossible victory a reality. Thus, all of the glory was accredited to God. There was no way anyone could deny that God had intervened.
“Then the Lord said to Gideon, ‘By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every many to his place.’ So the people took provisions and their trumpets in their hands. And he sent away all the rest of Israel, every man to his tent, and retained those three hundred men. Now the camp of Midian was below him in the valley. It happened on the same night that the Lord said to him, ‘Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.’” Judges 7:7-9.
If we try to do God’s will in our own strength, we’ll take the credit for whatever gets accomplished. Robbing God of His glory is foolish. Consider what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar! (Daniel 4:30-32)
Take the advice of this old saying, “Let Go and Let God!” You will find the strength you’ve been looking for when you admit your weakness and ask for help. When you surrender all… you will gain more power than you can imagine. “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
