The word impossible occurs 9 times in the NKJV Bible. According to Luke 1:37, the Bible reminds us that, “For with God, nothing is impossible”, simply because you run out of options doesn’t necessarily mean that God has also run out of options. Remember Jesus said in the Book of Luke 18:27 that, “Whatever is impossible with men is possible with God.” In short, what Jesus was implying was that we should let him be our eyes, ears, legs and hands and we would see farther, hear more and go farther in life than we have ever dreamt of.
Yes, you might not see the way, but Jesus is the way and God’s kingdom is the destination. Simply because others can’t see what you are seeing, like Gehazi in the Bible, when he couldn’t see God’s army doesn’t mean the army is not there and you can’t see it just like Elisha could see the army. Don’t try to be conformed to the world instead be renewed in your mind so as to be a good receiver of God’s promises according to Romans 12:2.
We are a product of what we listen to, see, and the people we hang around. So, what are you watching, listening to and who are the people who are speaking into your life? If they have dwarf ideas and you have giant ideas then they will trim you to their size and as a result, you might miss God’s best.
Yes, it might look, feel and even seem like impossible but our Father lives and breathes the impossible. Remember you share some of that DNA of your heavenly Father and what he can do you can do also, remember what Jesus promised us In the Book of John 14:12, “anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father”. So do you believe in Jesus fully or do you just believe him on some things and others you believe the witches and magicians out there?
How many times should we pray in a day to overcome the impossible?
Stop fearing to embrace who God created you to be, use what God has placed in your hands otherwise you will lose it. There are times you feel like giving up but that is the time you should push yourself to the finish line and receive the medal. No prize until you reach the finish line. Look at people like David though he was a King with a lot of duties, but he still pushed himself to go and praise God 7 times even at midnight according to Psalm 119:62,164. David also prayed 3 times on top of that according to Psalms 55:17.
What about Daniel though also he was working for the king he still got time to pray 3 times a day and even fast for a number of days. No wonder we remember them after thousands of years after they were gone but their impossible feats still speak volumes even today. These people sacrificed a lot for God and God came through for them so what about yourself? These people were criticised, challenged and even punished for what they believed but they never gave up so why are you giving up?
Philippians 4:13, says that” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. “When times are very hard remind yourself that it is not you doing it but Christ in you and Christ can’t fail so you can’t fail. Let me remind you that seeds grow in the dark, gold is forged in the hottest fires, there is no olive oil without the press, hence without those dark moments when you feel pressed on every side and life feels too hot to handle, you cannot achieve that prize, promotion and that new business or property.
In short, you can’t reach your Canaan land, before you pass through your desert land. So, endure the desert experience before God can entrust you with your dream world according to Luke 16:10-12.
I know most of us are saying God first take me to Canaan land, but God is saying that I need to teach you first and my classrooms are in the desert and the teacher is those tough moments. You can’t miss those classes otherwise you will keep failing God’s exam and God won’t promote you to the next level.
I think that nothing is impossible when you want to fulfil a dream. A lot of people will tell you that you can’t do it, that you don’t have what it takes, but if it is in your heart and you feel it, there is nothing that will stop you. It is like the sun – you can’t block it: it will shine regardless if that is what you want.
You should aim really high, in my thinking. Set goals that, at the time of setting them, seem impossible. Then and only then, you can work toward them every day, and everything is possible, so keep putting in the effort and pursuing your goals. We are most vulnerable when we give up. Trying once more is always the most reliable method to succeed.
Have faith in yourself! Have confidence in your skills! You cannot achieve success or happiness if you lack a modest but realistic trust in your own abilities.
Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honour your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen… yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.
Why Does God Do The Impossible In Our Lives?
Their are a number of reasons why God does the impossible in our lives:
- It helps to grow our faith more: It is one of the most powerful building blocks when it comes to matters of faith. It encourages us to seek the Lord the more so that we can keep seeing the impossible
- It Increases our trust in the Lord: After we have seen a number of impossible situations overcome we tend to trust that the Lord will come through for us no matter what.
- It helps grow and shape our character: When the Lord wants to shape our character so as to be who he created us to be He might do the impossible to catch our attention.
- It is to bring glory to God: Every time God does the impossible it is to bring glory to himself and also fulfil His purpose of creating you.
- It is a way of making Himself known to others: When God wants to draw the attention of unbelievers so that they can to away from their sinful ways He might do the impossible.
Brethren never let an impossible situation intimidate you. Why? Because nothing is impossible with God. The Bible says, “For there is nothing that God cannot do” (Luke 1:37 GNT). Just believe and trust fully in God.
Why Does God Not Do The Impossible For Some People?
- When you are asking for the wrong things to use them for the wrong reasons (James 4:3).
- When you don’t believe God can do such a thing because it is too far-fetched (Mark 9:23).
- Especially when you have been so far from God and He wants to bring you much closer (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
- When God has a better plan than what you are asking for (Jeremiah 29:11).
- When you ask for the impossible for the sake of asking (Mark 9:23).
- God could be allowing the person to go through an impossible situation to completely break them down so He can remake them and raise them up. (Isaiah 64:8)

Has God called you to do the impossible? Are you letting fear and a sense of inadequacy keep you from obeying Him? If God has impressed upon you something that seems impossible, then you need to take a step of faith like Peter and challenge your limiting beliefs. Start asking God to show you the steps to take.
God can make the seemingly impossible possible. He did this when He made the very first promise to Abraham – the fact that he was a hundred years old did not stop God from accomplishing His purposes through him.
