What Is Faith?
According to Hebrews 11:1-3, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. So fear Not!
In our modern-day society, FAITH is like WiFi or the internet yes you can’t see it but it has the power to connect you to something else far away. In the same way, F . A. I. T. H in a spiritual sense means Forwarding All Issues To Heaven. Faith drives action. Always remember that Romans 10:17 tells us: “So faith comes out of hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
I know that every day you needed to get a full dose of the Word and that made you meditate on the scriptures, and
Did you know that the situations that will stretch your faith most will be those times when life falls apart and God is nowhere to be found? This happened to Job in the bible (Job 1:6-22). In times like this, It’s worth taking a risk when motivated by faith in God’s Word. During this time, we are twice armed if we fight with faith on our side.
Just a reminder during these times faith doesn’t make things possible, and it doesn’t make them easy. So, we need to talk about God’s language of faith and not men’s language of doubt. It is the reason birds can fly and we can’t simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.
Faith leads you to take the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase and becomes the light that guides you through those dark moments. Faith makes you put all your eggs in God’s basket, then count your blessings before they hatch. Faith is not the belief that God will do what we want but, faith is the belief that God will do what is right (Proverbs 3: 5-6).
What Is Fear?
Fear imprisons, faith liberates;
fear paralyzes, faith empowers;
fear disheartens, faith encourages;
fear sickens, faith heals;
fear makes useless, faith makes serviceable.
As Christians when we think of F.E.A.R. our minds should Forget Everything And Run to JESUS!
HAVE FAITH NOT FEAR
Our Almighty God is extremely kind and understanding toward our human weaknesses, but He requires us to move forward in faith, and therefore the Bible tells us that faith matures and strengthens with trials. Adversity is God’s best tool to develop a robust faith. check out the various examples evident in the Bible.
God takes all the people through fearful situations, and, as we learn to obey God’s Word and permit it to saturate our thoughts, we discover each trial becomes a stepping stone to a stronger and deeper faith.
It gives us that ability to say, “He sustained me in the past, he’ll carry me through today, and he’ll uphold me in the future!” God worked in this manner in David’s life. When David volunteered to fight against Goliath, he said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the jaws of the lion and the jaws of the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:37).
David knew the God who had sustained him through dangerous situations in the past. He had seen and experienced God’s power and protection in his life, and this had developed within him a fearless faith.
The Word of God is rich with promises for us to take hold of and claim for ourselves. Once we face financial trouble, Philippians 4:19 tells us, “And my God will supply all of your needs consistent with His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” If we are anxious about some future decision, Psalms 32: 8 reminds us that God will “instruct you and teach you within the way you ought to go; I will be able to counsel you with my eye upon you.” In sickness, we will remember that Romans 5:3–5 says, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we all know that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance produces character and character produces hope.”
And hope doesn’t put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Ghost, who has been given to us.” If someone turns against us, we will be comforted by the words in Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us!” Throughout life, we’ll still face various trials that might cause us to fear, but God assures us that we will know a relaxed peace through every situation:
“Do not worry about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and therefore the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
