According to the Book of Deuteronomy 1:6–7 — “You have dwelt long enough in this mountain…” This verse refers to staying too long in one place spiritually or physically which is a perfect mark of stagnation. For instance, in the Book of John 5:5–9 we see that the man at the pool of Bethesda waited 38 years for movement which is a perfect example of tortoise spirit in action.
what is the tortoise spirit?
Leviticus 11:29 “These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind.”
According to this verse a tortoise is an unclean animal which is known for its slowness remember it moves very slowly. which spiritually, can represent delay, procrastination, and hindered progress.
The tortoise carries a shell, which represents in the spirit world spiritual burdens of ancestral sins and curses, spiritual covering that that hide your glory from divine recognition, or invisible barriers around a person’s destiny. This is why some people experience generational delay in short no one in the family marries early, prospers early, or completes anything on time.
The tortoise lives both on land and in water which makes it a hybrid creature. this can symbolize withdrawal, doublemindedness, unstable foundations, and spiritual confusion. someone always who pulls back from opportunities or divine help, as the tortoise retreats into its shell when threatened. Most people who are under its control often feel “stuck between two worlds” — unstable in decisions, moving forward one moment and backward the next.
Let’s Pray Against The Tortoise Spirit:
- In the mighty name of Jesus, I revoke and renounce every marine covenant of delay made in my absence.
2. In the mighty name of Jesus, I cancel every demonic agreement between me and the spirit of slow movement in marriage, promotion in life affairs, and slow manifestation.
3. Let every evil shell of limitation shielding my destiny from visibility, shatter now by Holy Ghost fire.
4. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every hidden tortoise spirit masquerading as patience and endurance to be exposed and destroyed right now.
5. Let every demonic timeline designed to delay my testimony, be reversed by fire, in Jesus’ name
6.By the power in the blood of Jesus, I break every covenant of slowness and delay operating in my foundation. Let every ancestral evil power that has vowed I will not move forward, fall down and die right now.
7. Let every demonic calendar marking my progress for delay, be set ablaze by the fire of the Holy Ghost right now in Jesus name.
8. O God of Elijah who gave Elijah divine speed to outrun Ahab’s chariots according to 1 Kings 18:46, anoint my feet for divine acceleration in areas of marriage, finances, calling, and destiny, so as to overtake those who went ahead of me., in Jesus’ name.
9. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every demonic weight of stagnation sitting on my destiny chair, to fall down and die.
10. Let every invisible chain tying my feet to one spot in life, break by the power in the blood of Jesus.
11. Heavenly Father smash to pieces with Your hammer according to Jeremiah 23:29 every marine spirit in form of tortoise shell that is manipulating my progress, in Jesus’ name.
12.O God of Elijah according to 1 Kings 18:38 let Your fire fall from heaven and burn to ashes every tortoise idol that is speaking stagnation over my life, in Jesus’ name.
13. Holy Ghost fire, consume to ashes every spiritual tortoise that is crawling in my dreams, I shall run and not be weary, in Jesus’ name.
14. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every evil power using the image of a tortoise to monitor my destiny to catch fire and burn to ashes right now.
15. Starting from today I overturn every marine or serpentine altar that is exchanging my acceleration for frustration, by the power in the blood of Jesus.
