Enemy Attack: 15 Dangerous Prayers to Overcome Them Now

Listen to this article

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8 ).

This means the enemy looks for ways to attack a believer’s faith, peace, health, family, finances, and spiritual life. Sometimes attacks come when you are close to a breakthrough or divine assignment. For instance, the case of David in the Book of 1 Samuel 30:1–6 returned to find the enemy had burned the city and taken their families captive. This was an attack meant to discourage and weaken him, but he encouraged himself in the Lord and recovered everything.

Why the Enemy Attacks Christians

According to John 10:10 says: “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; but I have come that they may have life.” The enemy attacks you because:

  1. You belong to Christ.
  2. You carry purpose and destiny.
  3. You are a threat to the kingdom of darkness.
  4. You are growing spiritually.

8 Ways The Enemy Uses To Attack Believers.

The enemy attacks can appear in many forms, such as:

  • Temptation to sin (Matthew 4:1)
  • Fear and anxiety (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • Accusation (Revelation 12:10)
  • Poverty and Loss (Job 1:14–17)
  • Direct Satanic Attack (2 Corinthians 12:7)
  • Repeated failures or delays (Daniel 10:13)
  • Betrayal (Matthew 26:14–16)
  • Sickness or oppression (Luke 13:11–16)
  • Discouragement and doubt (1 Kings 19: John 20:25)

These are often attempts to weaken faith and disconnect a believer from God. One of the enemy’s main goals is to destroy a believer’s faith in God. When faith is weakened, a Christian may:

  • stop praying
  • stop believing God for miracles
  • become discouraged
  • give up spiritually

This is why Jesus Christ warned Simon Peter: Luke 22:32 “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.” The enemy was not just attacking Peter’s life — he was targeting his faith.

According to Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.” Enemy attacks are not always a sign that God has abandoned you. Often, they mean the enemy is trying to stop your progress because you are carrying something valuable, but he will not succeed if you stand in God through prayer.

How Christians Overcome Enemy Attacks

According to James 4:7, The Bible teaches believers to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” this can be done through:

  • Prayer
  • The Word of God
  • Faith
  • The armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18)
  • The blood of Jesus
  • Praise and worship

Let’s Pray:

1.In the mighty name of Jesus, I cancel every sudden attack sent against my life, family, and destiny, let every surprise strategy of the enemy be exposed and destroyed.

2. Heavenly Father, just as You gave David direction, speak to me clearly. Show me what to do, where to go, and how to recover everything the enemy stole, in Jesus name.

3. Heavenly Father, remove every spirit of discouragement, heaviness, and despair from my heart. I receive fresh hope and confidence in You, in Jesus name.

4. Heavenly Father, let every demonic assignment against my life and destiny, be cancel right now by the blood of Jesus.

5.Heavenly Father, strengthen me when the enemy attacks me, fill me with supernatural courage and restore my spiritual strength. I refuse to collapse under pressure., in Jesus name.

6. Let every manipulation from the kingdom of darkness against my life, be destroyed, in Jesus name.

7. Let every voice accusing me or condemning me during this battle, be silenced by the blood of Jesus.

8. Heavenly Father, release Your angels to fight on my behalf and scatter every demonic force attacking my life, in Jesus name.

9. In the mighty name of Jesus, I rebuke every evil spirit that is trying to intimidate me through attacks and threats, in Jesus’ name.

10. Heavenly Father, let every trap the enemy has set for me, catch the enemy instead. Deliver me from every hidden snare in Jesus’ name.

11. Let every demonic surveillance assigned against my life, be destroyed by fire, in Jesus name.

12 Let every stronghold the enemy built in my life, be demolished now by the power of God, in Jesus name.

13. Let every evil power that is using dreams to attack my life, be destroyed in Jesus’ name.

14. In the mighty name of Jesus, let every hidden enemy attacking me be exposed and disgraced today

15. Let every attack against my joy and peace, be destroyed by the power of God.
