What Is Powerlessness?
According to 1 Corinthians, 15:44, “…If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.” So, before anything happens to your physical body it must first start with your spiritual body. For instance, Jacob fought with an angel (spiritual) before he was blessed with wealth (physical) and he did not have the spirit of powerlessness. Remember as a Christian you can’t make the mistake of being powerless, or showing signs of Powerlessness or neutral i.e., neither hot nor cold in terms of spiritual matters because the devil will destroy you if not kill you (John 10:10). You might be wondering how to know if you are experiencing spiritual powerlessness.
You could be experiencing spiritual Powerlessness if, of late you discovered that you are no longer are interested in spiritual matters things like praying, fasting, reading the word of God, and even giving. This is a sign that your lamp like the ten virgins mentioned in Matthew 25:8-9 is running out of oil to keep you going (and you are in spiritual powerlessness). Refill your spiritual lamp by starting to do all these things again and by doing so you will eliminate the spirit of powerlessness.
As Christians, we should start to behave like Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:4, he said that My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power. The devil doesn’t understand any other language except the language of power. So, we shouldn’t exhibit traits that show powerlessness.
Brethren before you start praying these prayers ask yourself a few questions:
Who speaks into my spiritual life, could it be that he is an agent of the devil? Who are my closest spiritual friends can I say they are true Christians? What spiritual things am I keeping in my house do they please Jesus? What am I feeding my spirit with daily and are they attracting the spirit of powerlessness.
If after some reflection you discover that there are some Witchcraft items in your possession, you need to destroy them according to Acts 19:19. Ask yourself if there are some habits you need to give up, things like fornication, adultery, drinking, etc do so because they attract the spirit of powerlessness.
Do you have bad friends, if you do consider leaving them (1 Corinthians 15:33)? Have you given up praying, fasting, giving and even reading the word of God? if so then start doing it.
Let’s start by:
Praise and worship
Start by praising and worshipping for about 10 minutes.
Thanksgiving:
O Lord my Father, thank you for bringing me this far and for all Your benefits towards me. I thank you for the precious gift of Salvation. I thank you for always been there whenever I call on you, and for your protection, provision, and strength upon my life
Repent and confess your sins
Confess your sins one by one (e.g.sex outside marriage, abortion, or other forms of bloodshed, worship of false gods, family altars) Mention them by name, especially sexual sins. And ask GOD for forgiveness and mercy. For those sins one by one. Believe that the LORD has forgiven you as He has promised in His Word. Please note that the Holy Spirit will remind you of unrepented sins. You need to repent of them all if you want to see results in this program.
Plead the Blood of Jesus (before you start praying these prayers).
Then start by confessing out loud these Scriptures To help you fight against the Spirit of powerlessness.
Ephesians 4:27-32 (Don’t give the Devil a chance. If you used to rob, you must stop robbing and start working, in order to earn an honest living for yourself and to be able to help the poor. Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that builds up and provides what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you.
And do not make God’s Holy Spirit sad; for the Spirit is God’s mark of ownership on you, a guarantee that the Day will come when God will set you free. Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.)
Acts 19:19 (And many of those who had practiced magical arts collected their books and [throwing book after book on the pile] began burning them in front of everyone. They calculated their value and found it to be 50,000 pieces of silver.)
Acts 4:31 (And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [ which was a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.)
We have a choice to make, because we are powerless against the forces of evil on our own. We need the power of God in our lives which is greater than any power. The first step in finding the life that Jesus died to give us is to admit that we are powerless on our own and we should admit that our lives are unmanageable without Christ. Secondly, we should invite Jesus to rule and reign in our hearts and seek His guidance in all our ways. Third, we should resolve that we will follow His guidance in both good times and trying times.
Prayer is one way we deal with our powerlessness. It’s our platform for living a life of confession and repentance. It helps us to constantly change the way we see God, realigning our views of Him to what He has revealed to us in His Word. Prayer is a way we can release control, embrace our humanity and powerlessness and cry out to the One who has the ultimate power. Powerlessness has destroyed many Christians so do something about it today!
20 Prayers Against The Spirit Of Powerlessness.
1. My Father! My Father! Send your warring angels to both the land of the living and the dead to release my spiritual body from any spiritual jail, which is causing me to be powerless in Jesus Name.
2. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every seemingly powerful altar of darkness undermining my Christian life and limiting my spiritual growth, to catch fire.
3. O Lord destroy every spiritual vampire, eaters of flesh and drinkers of the blood who are making me spiritually powerless, in Jesus Name.
4. O Lord, let every state of helplessness and powerlessness in my life be changed to powerfulness in Jesus name.
5. By the power of the Holy Spirit let my prayer closet be empowered with fire from today making me dangerous to the Kingdom of darkness, in Jesus Name.
6. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray against every form of spiritual laziness and spiritual stronghold antagonizing my Christ’s Life.
7. O Lord forgive me of any sin that is making me powerless in the spirit realm, in Jesus Name.
8. By the power in the name of Jesus, I reject and refuse to live a powerless life. Let my Life be powerfully propelled by your power. Help me to live a life of power according to Your word.
9. My Father! My Father! Send your warring angels to both the land of the living and the dead to recover and destroy my stolen photos, clothes, images, etc which the enemy is using to weaken me, in Jesus Name.
10. Satan, I bind you, rebuke you, and render you powerless over my life, ministry, family members, and mention anything else of value here, in Jesus name.
11. By the power of the Holy Ghost Let my spirit man be too hot for the demonic agents to handle, hence let them and their altars be destroyed by fire, in Jesus Name.
12. O Lord, I thank you for giving me power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). I exercise that power now and I bind and break the power of the spirit of the witch, the wizard, the warlock, and the witch doctor, in Jesus name.
13. My Father! My Father! Send your recovery angels to both the land of the living and the dead to recover any of my lost virtues, blessing, and fortunes which were stolen due to my being spiritually weak, in Jesus Name.
14. My Father! My Father! Send your angels to sever the silver cord of every spirit of powerlessness that is assigned to watch me, eavesdrop on me, gather information about me, and also hinder the works of God in my life, in Jesus name.
15. After the order of Acts 4:31 fill me afresh with the Holy Ghost’s power so that I can have the power to overcome the demonic forces that are fighting me, in Jesus Name.
16. O Lord, I refuse to Identify with Powerlessness and ask You to hold my hand and help me to grow in grace to unlock a new level of power, in Jesus name.
17. O Lord uproot every demonic and satanic sacrifice obstructing my prayer life. I break every dark covenant that has been set against the call of God on my life in the spiritual realm. I am liberated from every unholy thing and sin that would creep into the corridors of my prayer and spiritual life, in Jesus Name.
18. By the power of the Holy Ghost I command every crippling spirit working against my prayer life to make me powerless to be destroyed in Jesus Name.
19. My Father! My Father! please, revive my prayer life and fill me with the spirit of supplication. O Lord let whatever I decree in prayer be established instantly in Jesus Name.
20. By the power of the Holy Ghost I bind up and rebuke every spirit of weariness, tiredness, carnal thinking, time-wasting, slack attitude, and prayerlessness, that may have been injected into my life by the evil forces of darkness! I declare that they will not have any dominion over me from this day forth, in Jesus’ name.
