Introduction.
If you have tried to keep away from this bad habits for many years but have not achieved any success, I understand what you are going through.
If you have secretly indulged in sinful habits as a Christian and you have tried to keep them away from your parents, spouse, friends, or pastor, then these prayers are what you need to help you overcome that sinful habit.
Your habits can make or break you. Bad habits are those habits that stand in the way of living your life to the fullest of your potential. They are habits that can potentially destroy your life and send you to hell if you do nothing about them.
What Is A Habit?
A habit is like a strand; you weave a thread of it every day, and at last, it becomes a very strong cord that you cannot break easily. Let me ask you this question: how many times have you tried to quit from a bad habit but found yourself almost powerless to get rid of it or stop doing it, no matter how much you tried to exert willpower against it?
A habit is a frequent activity that is hard to break since it is imprinted in our brains. Habits can be good, such as reading the bible, eating healthy, and exercising, or they can be bad habits., for instance, most people are addicted to the evil habits of smoking, drinking, sexual lust, and drugs of all kinds, among others.
Always remember that “God is faithful . . . He will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape . . .” 1 Corinthians 10:13. So let’s pray:
20 Sure Prayers To Help You Break Bad Habits Now
1. O Lord, I declare that I am not a slave to [mention the bad habit], but I am your child. I break every evil chain, every evil cycle of bondage that has kept me enslaved in this destructive behavior. Your word says, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36). I claim that freedom indeed, in Jesus’ name.

17. My Father! My Father! arise in Your mercy and put Your fear in my heart so that I will not have to go back to the bad habits again in Jesus name.
18. In the name of Jesus, I will live to fulfill my destiny, and these bad habits will not cut short my life in Jesus name.
19. Every re-arrangement of my destiny through the curse of bad habits, be reversed by fire, in Jesus name.
20. Heavenly Father, surround me with a supportive community that will encourage and pray for my journey toward freedom. May I be accountable to those who love and care for me. Give me the courage to confess my struggles and seek help when needed, in Jesus name.
