Evil Counsel
Where do you get your counsel from? Who speaks into your life daily when it comes to important matters? As for King David, it was Ahithophel as said in 2 Samuel 16:23,” Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice.” But We must be careful of what type of counsel we get, because there is a lot of evil counsel out there.
So, we need God to help us to get the right counsel. Remember what Psalm 64:2 Says, “Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; From the scheming of those who do wrong,” Never forget what Psalm 1:1 says, “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers.”
Always make the Lord your counsel after all Isaiah 9:6 calls Him a Wonderful Counsellor and we even learn in Isaiah 30:20-21,” … with your own eyes you will see Him. And whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: “This is the way. Walk in it”
