What is a Covering?
A covering is something that hides, conceals, and/or protects. For example, we use a case to cover a pillow. We use sheets to cover a mattress. Just as there are physical coverings, so are their spiritual coverings.
What Is A Spiritual Covering?
According to Deuteronomy 33:12, “Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.” A spiritual covering allows the blessings of God to flow and provides protection to keep the evil out. Consider a covering as something like a mask, veil, some sort of a make-up, mystical garment, cloud of some sort, scales over your eyes, a shield, or a cloak of invisibility. When under it, we can do what God, or the devil asks us to do easily.
Types Of Spiritual Coverings.
There are two main types of spiritual coverings:
1. Godly Covering.
God can use these spiritual coverings to change the identity of a person, a thing, or a building.
Examples of Godly covering:
• God used a pillar of cloud as well as a pillar of fire to guide and protect the children of Israel in the wilderness, according to Exodus 13:20–22, which says, “The LORD went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night.”
• As a result of Moses being in the presence of God for so long, his face was covered with God’s glory. This is what we read in the book of Exodus 34:29–35: “When Moses went down from Mount Sinai carrying the Ten Commandments, his face was shining because he had been speaking with the LORD; but he did not know it. Aaron and all the people looked at Moses and saw that his face was shining, and they were afraid to go near him. When Moses had finished speaking with them, he covered his face with a veil.
Whenever Moses went into the Tent of the LORD’s presence to speak to the LORD, he would take the veil off. When he came out, he would tell the people of Israel everything that he had been commanded to say, and they would see that his face was shining. Then he would put the veil back on until the next time he went to speak with the LORD.”
2.Demonic Covering.
The Devil being a cherub who covered the face of God according to Ezekiel 28:14 and 1 Kings 8:7, It’s his nature to cover things. That is also why his agents tend to use masks, veils, scales, clouds of darkness, and even shields to cover things and even people so that they are not visible to their destiny helpers.
Satanic coverings take the form of curses, embargoes, hinderances, barriers, blockages, and limitations.
According to Isaiah 25:7,” And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast (cloud of gloom or shroud or burial shroud or cloud of sorrow) over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.” As a Christian, you need to know that demonic coverings are very dangerous.
Demonic coverings can be placed over various parts of the body, areas of the house, buildings, regions, nations, and countries.
You should know everything God does; Satan also does the opposite. Satan invented negative, evil veils to destroy the destiny of God’s children.
Examples of Demonic Coverings:
• In areas where evil eyed people were rampant, a covering of innocent children was done.
• There are people who might be wearing beautiful garments in the physical realm, but in the spirit realm, they are seen as if they are wearing evil spiritual garments. According to Zechariah 3:3-5, Joshua was seen as if wearing dirty rags in the spirit realm.
• We also see that according to Matthew 27:51, when Jesus died on the cross, the drop of His blood on the earth caused an earthquake and also tore the veil in the temple from top to bottom into two, giving permanent access into the holies of the holies.
• We see that according to Genesis 29:21–25, Laban switched Jacob’s desired wife by giving him the woman he did not want, but by the time he realized it was too late,.
Why Does The Devil Use Evil Coverings?
1. The devil uses It to envelop or obscure, prevent, hinder, block, lock, control, and manipulate others or something.
2. To cover your shining star. There is a person looking for your star to use it.
3. To cover various areas of your life, for instance, your career, marriage, beauty, glory, finances, and even your health.
4. To stop your destiny helpers from seeing you, and hence they won’t help you. They can’t see you.
5. Block you from being married. Evil coverings make their victims attracted to the wrong set of people. They can make a married man not see the good in his wife.
5. To close your eyes so that you can’t see.
Whenever there is a covering in one’s life, such a person lives in struggle and in stagnation. Coverings are darkness, and no one can see anything in darkness except if there is light.
Coverings prevents it’s victims from being seen for anything good, it frustrates every one of their efforts and, at the end, brings them into depression.
6. Satanic veils are used to hide your true identity in both the spiritual and physical realm.
You will see a woman with absolutely no physical defect, but she is barren. Even when she does gets pregnant, the baby will be born stillborn. Because her glory as a mother has been shrouded as if it were dead spiritually. Evil coverings make a person grow to look older.
Evil veils may make your trusted friend or people judge you wrongly.
