I know as Christian , “we are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.” (2 Corinthians 4:8). This puts much strain many Christians and as a result many give up.
This can put a great strain on our faith in God and, hence, as a result, lead us to even doubt his power, promises, and even his timing. Most of us are used to doing things in a certain way only, and if something changes, then fear of the unknown, fear of failure, and even fear of being criticized by others enters us and cripples us from making important decisions, which affects the quality of our lives.
For instance, we see that Elijah, despite being a great prophet, became so discouraged and was about to give up no wonder he prayed to God to die (1 Kings 19:4). When things don’t go as expected or when life is overwhelmingly difficult, discouragement can lead to a sense of defeat and even make one to want to give up. I know that constant struggle without visible progress can lead to fatigue and frustration, causing us to abandon our efforts.
But always remember that Galatians 6:9 encourages us believers, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” So let us always remember, “That men ought always to pray and not to faint.”. So let’s pray these prayers together to help each of us never to give up:
