He replied to them, “This kind [of unclean spirit] cannot come out by anything but prayer [to the Father].” Mark 9:29.
What Do You Mean By Stubborn Demons?
Stubborn demons rarely operate solo. They function like a network: A “strongman” (leader spirit). Supporting spirits (fear, delay, addiction, rejection, etc.). Jesus referred to this structure in Luke 11:21–22. If you deal with only one layer, the others keep the system alive.
According to Mark 9:29 these are evil spirits that persistently resist leaving a person, situation, or area, even after prayer, deliverance, or spiritual confrontation. They may: Pretend to leave but return later, delay manifestation and even hide their presence. They don’t just attack randomly—they aim at: consistency with God, calling and purpose, finances’ relationships, spiritual growth. A demon resists not because it is powerful—but because it has something to stand on.
Stubborn demons often stay because they have legal ground such as:
- Long-term sin patterns
- Repeated sin (opens doors)
- Generational issues
- Ungodly soul ties
- Trauma or strongholds
- Words spoken (curses, negative confessions)
- Occult involvement (even indirect)
- Covenants (knowingly or unknowingly)
Stubborn demons require spiritual Intensity to come out so they require:
- Consistent prayer (not once-off)
- Fasting
- Holiness and discipline
- Spiritual authority in Christ
How to Recognize a Stubborn Spiritual Battle.
You may be dealing with one if:
- The same problem repeats for years despite prayer
- Breakthrough comes… then disappears
- You feel resistance when trying to grow spiritually
- There’s a cycle you can’t explain naturally
- Deliverance seems temporary, not permanent
Always remember that every victory is not based on how stubborn the demon is, but on how powerful Christ is in you. Your consistency in prayer will outlast the resistance of any demon. Stubborn demons do not leave because you are tired—they leave because you are persistent The enemy stays where prayer is weak, but flees where fire is consistent
Let’s Pray:
1.Let every hidden agreement that is sustaining stubborn demons, be terminated right now by the power in the blood of Jesus!
2.In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I stand on the finished work of the cross and command every stubborn demon resisting my freedom to lose your grip and fall down and die right now!
3. Heavenly Father, send Your warring angels to go and uproot every ancient spirit that has stayed in my life for years, operating like a stubborn mountain, in Jesus name.
4. Heaven Father, expose and destroy every hidden root whether it is sin, covenant, or ancestral link that is feeding stubborn demons in my life, in Jesus name.
5. In the mighty name of Jesus, I cut off the support system of every stubborn demon calling for reinforcement and backup.
6. Let every demon assigned to resist my deliverance, I release confusion and frustration into your camp in Jesus’ name!
7. In the mighty name of Jesus, I bind you permanently every spirit that leaves and returns, You will not come back again since your access is denied forever in Jesus’ name!
8. Let every internal stronghold supporting stubborn demons, be overthrown right now by the power in the name of Jesus.
9. Let every cycle of repeated oppression caused by stubborn spirits, break today by the power of the Holy Ghost.
10. Heavenly Father, purge my spirit, soul, and body of every trace of stubborn demons from my life.
11.In the mighty name of Jesus, I reverse every delay that is caused by stubborn demons. from today I step into immediate manifestation.
12. In the mighty name of Jesus, I silence permanently every evil voice of stubborn demons speaking into my life.
13. Let every familiar spirit that knows my patterns and resists deliverance, lose your hold and fall down and die, in Jesus name.
14. Let every wall of resistance built by stubborn demons, collapse now by fire in Jesus name.
15. Let every demonic prison built by stubborn demons around my life, break right now and let me walk out into liberty in Jesus’ name!
