Renunciation is the process of verbally rejecting and breaking ties with anything that has spiritually or emotionally bound you, hindered you, or given the enemy a foothold in your life. 2 Corinthians 4:2
What Are We Going To Renounce?
We are going to renounce the following things:
Sinful habits: Addictions, lies, sexual sin, anger, pride.
· Generational curses: Patterns of poverty, disease, or dysfunction in your family line.
· Occult involvement: Practices like witchcraft, idolatry, divination, tarot cards, or horoscopes.
· Ungodly soul ties: Emotional, physical, or spiritual bonds formed through unhealthy relationships.
· Negative words or vows or Ungodly covenants: Inner vows (e.g., “I’ll never succeed”) or curses spoken over your life.
· Curses or Spells or evil penalties: Words spoken over you by others with malicious intent (Evil pronouncements)
· Objects of Darkness: Possessing items tied to occult practices or false religions things like secret passwords, evil records, satanic regalia and even pagan teachings.
• Satanic obligations and evil ordinances things like fake communions, death wishes and other demonic things like this.
Renouncing is important because it is an intentional act of breaking agreement with things that are contrary to God’s will. In most churches, this step is considered vital in deliverance because it closes doors to any spiritual oppression and demonstrates a clear commitment to aligning with God’s truth and authority.
These prayers below focus on breaking spiritual strongholds, renouncing sinful patterns, and reclaiming your freedom in Christ.
Let’s Pray:
1. Heavenly Father by your power I surround my home with your hedge of protection and I put on the full armour of God to stand against the schemes of the enemy, in Jesus name.
2.In the mighty name of Jesus, I renounce every generational curse and pattern of sin from my family line, and I declare freedom through the blood of Jesus.
3. Heavenly Father, I renounce every evil agreement I have made knowingly or unknowingly with the dark kingdom in Jesus’ name.
4. In the mighty name of Jesus, I reject and renounce all occultic practices I have participated in, knowingly or unknowingly.
5. I renounce all forms of rebellion, pride, and stubbornness and I surrender to the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ.
6. I renounce every false teaching and doctrine that has led me astray and I reject every belief or ideology that contradicts the Word of God, in Jesus name.
7. I silence every evil voice speaking against my life from the camp of the wicked by the power of the blood of Jesus.
8. I reject and renounce all sinful habits, hidden sins, attitudes, and behaviors in Jesus’ name.
9.I renounce every spirit of manipulation, control, and domination in my life. I declare that my mind belongs to Christ and is protected by His Word.
10. In the mighty name of Jesus, I reject and renounce all practices of divination, throwing the bones, horoscopes, astrology, fortune-telling, tarot card reading, and palm reading.
11. I renounce all curses on my eyes, heart, and other body organs in Jesus’ name.
12.Heavenly Father by your power I cancel all evil agreements made with false gods and idols, knowingly or unknowingly.
13. I hereby renounce my association with this ….. group in Jesus’ name (mention the name).
14. I declare that I belong to the Kingdom of God, and darkness has no power over me, in Jesus name.
15.By the power in the blood of Jesus, I renounce the operation of all the spells, charms, and incantations in my life in Jesus’ name.
16. In the mighty name of Jesus, I renounce every curse of failure, rejection, and backwardness released through objects, occult signs, symbols, demonic jewellery or rituals in my possession.
17. I reject all the properties of this evil group in my possession and I release the fire of God to burn them to ashes in Jesus’ name.
18. I break every connection to ungodly spirits attached to my geographical location especially my neighborhood and community in Jesus’ name.
19. I declare that I am a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. I am free from all bondage, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. The enemy has no authority in my life, in Jesus name.
20. I declare that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all powers and principalities and I declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against me or my family, in Jesus name.
