ToggleAccording to Psalm 66:9 God “…has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.” “…who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
Always Remember: You should not have made it, but you did, therefore you were preserved through the things that should have ended you.
There are some of you who are reading this post today who should not be alive, should not still be standing, should not still have faith—but God preserved you:
- Some survived sickness, accidents and even depression
- Some survived witchcraft attacks, Family curses, Evil patterns
- Some survived poverty
- Some survived betrayal and Character assassination
- Some survived spiritual warfare leading to repeated failures.
You didn’t survive because you were lucky. You survived because Heaven intervened. You survived what destroyed others is because you carry something they did not. Preservation is not comfort — it is calling. When the same fire burns others but refines you, it means God is involved.
PRESERVATION IS NOT THE SAME AS ESCAPE.
Many people confuse preservation with exemption. God did not remove Esther from danger — He kept her alive inside danger.
- Daniel was preserved in the lion’s den
- The three Hebrew boys were preserved in the fire
- Israel was preserved in the wilderness
- Paul was preserved in shipwrecks
God does not always take you out — He keeps you through and If God preserved you in the storm, it means the storm was not authorized to end you.
SURVIVAL IS A SIGNAL OF PURPOSE
Esther 4:14 Mordecai told Esther something powerful: “If you remain silent… deliverance will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish.” Then he asks: “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther’s position of safety was not accidental — it was strategic. Esther did not enter the palace randomly.
She entered on schedule. God did not preserve her just to be queen. Being spared does not cancel responsibility. God preserved her to save a generation. Silence in a critical season can:
- Abort purpose
- Delay deliverance
- Transfer assignment
Preservation must be activated by obedience.
God will accomplish His will — the question is will He use you or replace you? God will ask: “What did you do with the life I protected?” You are alive because something is still unfinished. God preserves people until their appointed time. God keeps you hidden until the season is ready for you, If the enemy could have stopped you, he would have. If death had permission, it would have taken you and If failure had authority, it would have buried you.
But God said: “Not yet. They still have work to do.” If you are still waiting, it is because the moment is still loading so always remember Isaiah 60:22 “At the right time, I the Lord will make it happen.” that is the reason Why the Enemy Couldn’t Finish You.
If Satan knew:
- Who you would help
- Who you would pray for
- Who you would deliver
- Who you would lead
He would have tried harder. But he ran out of permission.
GOD PRESERVES WHAT HE HAS INVESTED IN
Psalm 66:9 “He has preserved our lives…” Preservation reveals value. You protect what is precious, you guard what is costly and you preserve what has potential. So, in the same way God does not waste protection on emptiness.
God Preserved You because: There is grace in you. (Note that grace abused becomes accountability.) There is gift in you, there is fire in you, there is authority in you and there is impact locked inside you. God guards His investments. You are not kept by chance. You are kept by covenant. Preservation is proof God believes in you. Even when people gave up on you — God did not.
PRESERVATION MEANS THE ENEMY FAILED
“Kept from Slipping” – Psalm 66:9 Your feet almost slipped — but they didn’t. Your faith almost failed — but it didn’t. Every time you survived, hell lost a battle. When the attack didn’t kill you — hell failed. When the storm didn’t drown you — hell failed. When the setback didn’t stop you — hell failed.
If the enemy knew your future, he would have fought harder. But here you are. Your survival is proof that God’s plan is stronger than Satan’s plot. Your survival sends a message to the enemy that he has tried but failed and every time the enemy sees you: Still praying, still worshiping, still standing, it reminds him that God stepped in.
PRESERVATION DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL AVOID RISK
Esther said: “If I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:16). Preservation does not reduce sacrifice — it just makes it meaningful. Isaiah 43:1–2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned.” Fire recognizes ownership. Water respects covenant. What cannot destroy you is announcing that you are claimed by God. Preservation does not cancel danger — it gives courage in danger.
- God does not preserve cowards
- God preserves warriors
- God preserves intercessors
- God preserves deliverers
Preservation gives boldness, not fear. You were not kept to hide instead you were kept to confront.
PRESERVATION DOES NOT ERASE TRAUMA — IT REDEEMS IT.
Some people think: “If God preserved me, why did the preservation still hurt?” Remember that God doesn’t just save you — He uses what tried to break you. Joseph’s trauma became wisdom; David’s pain became psalms and Esther’s fear became courage. Your wounds will become weapons. Nothing you survived will be wasted.
SOME BATTLES EXIST ONLY TO REVEAL YOUR PRESERVATION
You didn’t just survive — you survived repeatedly. Ask yourself:
- How many times did the enemy try again?
- How many cycles tried to repeat?
- How many attacks came back stronger?
Yet you’re still standing.
Repeated attacks mean repeated failure for the enemy. Satan does not waste energy on empty destinies.
PRESERVATION COMES WITH RESPONSIBILITY
Some of you carry: A message, prayer mantle, reforming grace, leadership anointing or a deliverance calling. Esther had a choice: Enjoy the palace or risk her life for others. Preservation always demands response. You were not preserved to: Remain silent, passive, hidden and comfortable
You were preserved to: Speak, Stand, Build, Pray, Lead, Intercede and Deliver others. Preservation without participation becomes disobedience. God preserves vessels that remain usable. You cannot carry divine assignment with careless living.
YOU WERE KEPT FOR IMPACT
“For such a time as this.” This is not just a season — it is a moment, not forever. A moment to rise, act, obey and step into destiny. Missed moments don’t always come back. That’s why urgency matters. If God preserved you, move when He speaks.
GOD PRESERVES PEOPLE TO PRESERVE PEOPLE
God preserves people before they are needed. Your future assignment already required your survival.
- Esther was preserved before the decree was written so Israel could be preserved.
- Joseph was preserved years before the famine to preserve nations (Genesis 50:20)
- Moses was preserved decades before deliverance to preserve Israel (Exodus 2)
- David was preserved to preserve a kingdom
- Jesus was preserved from Herod to preserve humanity
You are saved so others can be saved through you. God keeps answers ahead of questions. If you refuse to act, others suffer. God preserved you: For your family or your generation or your church or for other souls or even for history. You are not preserved to blend in — you are preserved to break through.
PREPARE — BECAUSE PRESERVATION PRECEDES DEPLOYMENT
Esther fasted before she moved. Preservation is not the end — it is the preparation stage. God preserves people before: elevation, confrontation, manifestation and release.
If God preserved you, prepare yourself — your moment is coming.
Ask Yourself:
- What did God preserve me from?
- What season should have ended me?
- Who might be waiting on my obedience?
- Where am I being silent instead of bold?
- What step of faith is God asking me to take now?
Preservation demands reflection — then action.
PRESERVATION IS GOD’S ANSWER TO AN UNSEEN PRAYER
Some prayers were prayed: By your parents or grandparents, or even intercessors you never met. You survived notjust because you prayed — but because someone cried out for you. Preservation is inherited mercy. You are standing on prayers older than you.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS (Say These To Yourself)
- I was preserved for purpose
- I was kept for impact
- I will not waste my survival
- I will not die before my assignment
- I step into my “such a time as this” moment (mention a time of your choice)
If you are still asking: “Why am I still alive?” God says: “Because I am not finished with you.” Your preservation is Heaven’s announcement that there is more to do, lives to touch and a destiny to fulfill. You are preserved — now arise.
