Brethren, How big are the mountains in your life? How long have they been in your life? What have they been blocking you from achieving? How many times have you stirred at this same mountains and said nothing to them? Today is the day you will take a different approach and speak to them and say,” Move from here to there’ and it will move”- Matthew 17:20 NIV.
MOUNTAINS STOP OUR BLESSING
All mountains men of God faced in the past with speaking mountains, for instance, the Devil said to Jesus, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”Luke 4:3.But you can see that also Jesus spoke back to this mountain(Devil) “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”…Luke 4:4 another case in point is David when he was faced with a speaking mountain called Goliath saying“Come here,” he called to David, “and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”… 1 Samuel 17:43. Instead, David spoke back(1 Samuel 17:44). Notice both Jesus and David spoke back to their mountains and got the victory.
There comes a moment when you must quit talking to God about the mountain in your life and start talking to the mountain about your God. You proclaim His power. You declare His sovereignty. You affirm His faithfulness. You stand on His Word. You cling to His promises.
Maybe we need to quit playing defence and start playing offence. Maybe we need to quit letting our circumstances get between us and God and let God get between us and our circumstances. Maybe we need to stop talking to God about our problem and start talking to our problem about God.
It is the time we as the church need to open our mouth for the lord to fill it just like Moses, Jesus and the other prophets with something to speak. Psalm 81:10. after all, a closed mouth is a closed destiny. In the olden days, prophets spoke to the mountains a case in point Ezekiel “And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel..” Ezekiel 36:1 also Moses spoke to the rock to get what he wanted(water) Numbers 20:7.
There will always be mountains(pharaohs, Red seas, Giants) who get in the way of what God wants to do in your life. Speak to them convert these mountains into prayer points and just like Jesus keep speaking to your mountain it is written. I learned that we don’t have to be afraid of the enemy’s attacks. These attacks are counterproductive when we counteract them with prayer.
The more opposition we experience, the harder we have to pray. And the harder we have to pray, the more miracles God does. Remember sometimes you are not in the mountains, the mountains(doubt fear) are in you. But be encouraged that no matter how tall the mountain is it cannot block the SON. According to John 8:12″Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Jesus didn’t say that we are to discuss our challenges. He said, “Speak to them!” Speak to cancer. Speak to financial lack. Speak to the rebellion in a child. Speak to the mountain in a situation. How do we get to the point where we believe that what we say will come to pass and that when we speak to our mountain, it will be removed?
Jesus said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you John 15:7
One of the primary keys to your confidence in prayer is to know that what you are speaking is the will or the Word of God. This is the day and the hour for God’s people to do great exploits because we are in covenant relationship with Him; speaking His Word, praying His Word and obeying His Word.
What is your experience with speaking to your mountains? Please let us know in the comment section.
