“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” Proverbs 22:7.
What Is Meant By Debt Bondage?
It is a situation whereby a debt becomes a cycle that never seems to end, and it needs to be sustained by interest, penalties, or emergencies. forcing you to compromise of faith especially in the areas of giving and tithing due to fear, anxiety, and even shame. God never designed His people to live as servants to financial systems according to Romans 13:8, “Owe no one anything, except to love one another…”
According to Exodus 5:6–9 Pharaoh increased Israel’s labor so they would not listen to Moses. Debt works the same way it keeps people:
• Too busy to pray
• Too tired to serve
• Too afraid to obey God
• Too stressed to hear God
Debt bondage often silences prophetic movement in a believer’s life. Luke 4:18 “He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives…” Debt captivity is something Christ came to break—spiritually and practically.
Let’s Pray:
- Heavenly Father, I repent of every financial decision, covenant, vow, and even agreement that I knowingly or unknowingly opened the door to debt bondage. I receive Your mercy through the blood of Jesus. Align my finances with Your will, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let the power in the blood of Jesus, cancel every covenant, oath, and even spiritual agreement that is tying my finances to debt and loss. I withdraw my destiny from your influence, in Jesus’ name.
3. Let every ancestral pattern of poverty and debt operating in my lineage be terminated now. I am a new creation in Christ; old things have passed away.
4.By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I break every yoke of debt bondage upon my life and household. The yoke is destroyed by the anointing after the order of Isaiah 10:27. I am free at last, in Jesus’ name.
5. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every wasted resources, lost opportunities, delayed payments and monies stolen from me through deception or ignorance to be restored sevenfold this year.
6.O Lord Jesus, deliver me from every form of financial slavery. I refuse to be a servant to lenders according to Proverbs 22:7). I declare that Christ has made me free indeed.
7. Let every relationship that is draining my finances without divine return be disconnected now by the power of the Holy Spirit.
8. After the order of Deuteronomy 28:12, I command the spirit of borrowing without repayment, to lose your hold over my life. I receive grace to lend and not borrow right now.
9. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every cycle of constant emergencies that are increasing my debts beyond logic forcing me to borrow more to be total broken right now.
10. Heavenly Father, restore my dominion over money. Money will serve me; I will not serve money. I take back control through wisdom, discipline, and grace, in Jesus’ name.
11. In the mighty name of Jesus, I command every satanic accountant assigned to monitor my finances to be blinded permanently. From today finances are covered by the precious blood of Jesus.
12. Heavenly Father, arise in Your power and bring supernatural help to my debts. Open doors for settlement, favor, discounts, restructuring, and unexpected provision, in Jesus’ name.
13. After the order of Colossians 2:14, Let every spiritual accuser using debt to mock my faith and limit my progress, be silenced by the Blood of Jesus!
14.According to Philippians 4:19, my God shall supply all my needs. I activate kingdom provision, open heavens, and divine supply over my finances now!
15. Let the power in the blood of Jesus, seal my income, business, salary, and investments. From today no devourer, leak, or financial attack shall prosper again, in Jesus name.
