I hope it brought you closer to Jesus. Brethren, the devil is not afraid of people going to church; he is afraid of people starting to look like Christ. The devil wants you to pay attention to your feelings, and Jesus wants you to pay attention to his truth. So it’s important to be who God wants you to be, not what others want to see. Just imagine that there was a time when people went to church, heard the Bible truth, and wept over their sins. Nowadays, people go to church, hear a motivational speech (2 Timothy 4:3), and ignore their sins.
You may be saying “Pastor, I never missed church, except during this lockdown period (current period)”, so this is not me at all. Let me tell you that it doesn’t matter how many Sundays you have sat in a church or if you think you have been saved. God sees what we do in secret and how we treat other people. That’s what really matters.
JESUS LOVE YOU
To me and you, a church should be a hospital where we go to be cured of the after-effects of our sins. It should be a place where we come to talk with our God. since no breath is lost talking to him. Walk with him, since no strength is lost walking with him; also, wait for God, since no time is lost waiting on him. So, brethren, we should pray the hardest when it feels the hardest to pray.
God should be like oxygen to us saints; although we can’t see him, especially when we are in trouble, we need to know that we need him to survive. So during this lockdown period, please create a more intimate relationship with Jesus and renew your commitment to the Holy Spirit. Please reach out to friends and family with the message of the kingdom: ” Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.
The time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears, they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.… 2 Timothy 4:2–3.
